It's so sad to witness Carlo Yulo’s family drama, especially with his mom seeking sympathy again through social media🥹.

First of all, you started airing your family's dirty laundry on social media. When your son finally addressed your allegations publicly to defend himself and bring the issue to an end, you called a press conference instead of discussing your concerns with him privately🤦‍♀️.

Madam, utang na loob po enough of the drama!!! I’m sure your son is hurting so much, seeing social media focus on his family's drama instead of his achievements. He had no choice but to speak up to defend himself and put an end to this situation.

Imagine what will happen if Caloy remains silent? People will gaslight him and fabricate stories, labeling him as an "ungrateful child" or "walang utang na loob na anak." My God, the fact that Caloy allowed his family to manage his bank account for so many years and spend the money he worked hard for shows that he is a kind, generous, and stoic son. Not everyone would allow that, but he did until he realized his family was depleting his earnings.

To Caloy’s mother, please put aside your sentiments for a while and let your son enjoy and savor his two gold medal achievements. You’re lucky Caloy still respects you. Please don’t put him in a situation where he loses the remaining respect he has for you. Caloy is 24 years old. He is not a child anymore, so let him make decisions for himself, especially regarding his personal life. Caloy has been providing for your family for so many years, so stop the drama and be grateful instead. Since you repeatedly stating that you raised him well, trust that he won’t abandon you and will still continue to help you financially.

This is a problem with Filipino culture. When children start earning money, they are often obliged to become providers for their family. As parents, our role is to provide a safe and loving environment, good education, and guidance. Parents should make their children feel safe and not abuse them by milking them like a cow. It should be up to the children if they want to help their family once they start earning.

Guys, please stop these nuisances. Let Caloy resolve his family issues privately and focus on celebrating his achievements. He has put Filipinos on the map by winning two Olympic medals. Enough of the negative comments; let the man enjoy his well-deserved winnings.
