Lennie Boresch Jr. is a Kenosha bowling legend who seemingly got better with each passing year. It took cancer to finally slow him down.

A staple of Kenosha is saying goodbye.

It is with joy and sadness we are announcing that we are selling the restaurant and banquet hall and heading into retirement! We would first like to thank our children for all the years working in the restaurants Joe worked at and managed Buona Vita for 23 years. Mena worked at Buona Vita and Cortese's also managing the restaurant and banquet hall. Danny also worked several years helping us out. Thanks to our brother Paolo for managing the pizza area for 22 years. Shout out to Norma,Erin, and all the other family who jump in when needed.

We want to thank all of our amazing and hardworking staff who have become family. We could not have done it without you.

We have been blessed to have so many amazing customers who have become dear friends 🧡. Thanks for all the laughs and memories !

On days like today, and even more to come, your mail carriers are out in this dangerous heat delivering mail and parcels. Yes, it’s a job they signed up for, but you can be a big help to your carrier or any carrier you see by offering them a cold beverage on a brutally hot day. Offer it to them in person, or, throw a bottle of water in the mailbox that you perhaps had sit in the fridge or freezer overnight. Trust me, that tiny little courtesy is infinitely appreciated, and can make a difference in staying ahead of dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke. Yes I’m posting this for mail carriers, but this post doesn’t just mean they’re the only ones working in the elements. Think about this when you see any person outside in this dangerous heat.

OSHA has cited the U.S. Postal Service for exposing about 900 employees to the risks of heat-related illness and death since 2012.

Judge Schroeder asked the jury if they had any questions. One juror asked if they could bring home the jury instructions, to which Judge Schroeder eventually said yes. After the jury left, defense attorneys voiced their concern that “it would be the old dictionary game where they start defining words and things like that.”
