The political landscape in Mwingi West has taken another twist following the entrance of a youthful, visionary, and forceful candidate, Hon Francis Kauta.

Kauta's candidature has thrown everything out of proportion and has subjected his opponents to a state of irredeemable panic besides rendering them completely unserviceable.

Francis Kauta's candidature has grown like the proverbial mustard's seed. His candidature began early this year insignificantly but has grown to baffle, threaten and banish formidable candidates who have taken years to build their political command.

The irreparably crippled are the outgoing Mwingi West MP Hon Charles Nguna and former Kitui County CEM Patrick Koki Musau. Their efforts to maintain their bases have been frustrated and their strongholds have been seized.

It's rumoured that the tactful, energetic, and visionary youthful Kauta is been endorsed by Mwingi West professionals in addition to amassing considerable support from the youths.

Hon Francis Kauta urges the people of Mwingi West not to play pranks and games with their lives but vote for an insightful and visionary leadership which will break the chains of poverty and remove them from the shackles of deprivation.

Role of Members of the County Assembly (MCAs)

• Maintain close contact with the electorate and consult them on issues before or under discussion in the County Assembly

•Present views, opinions and proposals of the electorate to the County Assembly;

•Attend sessions of the County Assembly and its committees;

•Provide a linkage between the county assembly and the electorate on public service delivery; and

•Extend professional knowledge, experience or specialised knowledge to any issue for discussion in the County Assembly

•Should not directly or indirectly be involved in the executive functions of the County Government and its administration; or in the delivery of services as if the member were an officer or employee of the County Government.
