Getting It Strait is a youth-run online zine that publishes works on contemporary thought and current affairs. Issues are published at the end of each month to accommodate content that reflects the events that have happened during that month. We look for a wide variety of English submissions — essays, short stories, poetry, resource compendiums, articles, illustrations… just to name a few — anythi

📢 Recently, activist and political cartoonist Fahmi Reza was arrested for Spotify playlists which satirized the Queen's comments amid rumors of limited circulation of COVID-19 vaccines. While Fahmi was released in less than 24 hours, it is now clear that our artistic and press freedom is in looming danger.
