Just used AI for my first time ever. Pretty darn slick. Can't think of anything outside of the single thing I just used it for, but maybe I'll use it again some day.

Why is Microstation using Menus that look like Windows 3.11. This program is gross and I hate it.

Bear with me here folks but I have a New project incoming:

Cat wall playground items (posts, hammocks, tents, stairs, etc.)

Exactly like Catastrophic Creations, but not neeaarrrllyyyy as expensive (they charge way too much for their pieces for what they are).

These should be fun, and I'm planning to test them in my house first with all of these monsters to make sure they'll hold up.

Stay tuned!

Happy 4th everyone! At the end of the night, do a quick finger count to make sure you still have all of 'em ;)

Not that I don't have enough projects already, but here's the next one that a kid down the street is going to help me with (and learn some s**t, whilst keeping all of his digits at the same time).

Custom Mercer Relief Valves hand crafted (with anger and swearing) in Plant 3D. Plant 3D will not give me the gasket and fl**ge at the port when applying a pipe. 90% of the Plant videos are non-english.... which is fun to try to understand, but generally unhelpful.
"Cannot resolve AutoFlange connection. Danny you're an idiot."

Kept banging my head on my desk trying to figure out how I was going to design another arcade cabinet. The ol' brain unit came up with a brilliant plan; download graphics for an arcade cabinet, and reverse engineer the cabinet based on the image. Good brain, you get a treat :)

Planning on getting back to this after the new year since I've been ignoring it for over a year. Shame on me. We have a lot to cover so keep an eye out!

Hot take:
Bentley OpenRoads Designer, is literally a separate piece of software that is in competition to what Autodesk Civil 3D has built in? Was this just a huge money-grab that every DoT in the US fell for?

Dev Team - "What if we were to take out the part for road design, and make it a whole separate piece of software, that isn't at all like the software it came from. THEN, what if we called all the Departments of Transportation in the entire country and convinced them that they HAVE to use this?"

CEO - "Well, I've always liked the game Monopoly..."

Do I have to learn this? Yes.
Do I have to learn it well enough to support? Also yes.
Am I happy that I have to train and support an inferior product to Civil 3D? Absolutely not...

After finding my dust collector bag literally packed full, I decided that having it behind my easel CNC was not conducive to A) being able to see if it's full, and B) being able to actually get that heavy bag out from behind there. Took a tip from how my dad set his up, and here we are! Still haven't moved things around enough to allow it to fill completely, but for now, this will work just fine. Also was able to remove 9 feet of the corrugated hose which was kind of tossed behind the CNC (the less bends the better).

Modeled in AutoCAD, textured in 3DS Max, output to GLB format for web and AR viewing. If you've been asking yourself what you could possibly do with the videos I've been creating; this is one of the coolest answers to that question!

More videos are coming on my channel this weekend. I've been super busy ripping down my fence, and haven't had any time to even consider what we're discussing next.

This video will take you through the process of drawing a 2D part in AutoCAD from start to finish. We cover a ton of commands, and even find a few mistakes in the drawing that I downloaded to use as the example. Ask questions if you have them, like and subscribe, and most certainly enjoy!
