We did it , Toronto!

More than 26,000 doses were administered at the Scotiabank Arena clinic today possibly setting a world record in shots given in a single day in one clinic.

A total of 26,771 doses were administered , 978 first doses and 25,793 second doses (including me), according to officials - last I checked.

SPECIAL SHOUTOUT to all the staff, worker, volunteers and of course the DJ! — JOB AMAZINGLY DONE!

While I feel incredibly grateful and ecstatic that I got to be part of history today, in all genuineness - my heart goes out to people around the world who got affected and could not make it, or, are still struggling to get proper care and vaccinated. Reality hits hard and at another level when it affects you or one of your own, but you don’t need that experience to get educated, be self-aware and do your part for the community.

Personally, for a good part of my life I would often see humanity through the lense of religion but (amongst many other learnings/unlearnings and major policy shifts in life) the past year has totally solidified my belief that “no religion is higher than humanity” - as once quoted by Abdul Sattar Edhi - my personal hero.

Keep doing your part in every little way possible; get vaccinated, donate, volunteer in your community or simply by keep wearing a mask and observe social distancing.
