The Party’s Over: Zionism Must Be Dismantled Esteemed Palestinian author and academic Dr Ghada Karmi calls on the world to rise up and end Israel’s systematic oppression of the Palestinian people once and for all. “What this has evoked is a deep questioning amongst people who must ask themselves, where do they stand on the question of evil? Because I believe that what we’ve seen in Gaza is evil. You cannot describe it in any other way.” Recounting her own experiences as a child of forced ethnic displacement at the hands of Zionist militias in the Nakba of 1948, Dr Ghada says, “I started to realise that our sufferings, though I had thought them very great throughout my life, were almost as nothing compared to the sufferings that the people of Gaza are being subjected to today.” Calling on young people in the West to stay hopeful, she says, “Please never give up. It will happen. We will succeed… we will succeed because our aims are moral, they are just, they are humane. And that is the only way we, whether you in your youth or me at my age, that is the only way I would want to live.”

BREAKING | Israel Blows Up Gaza’s Only Cancer Hospital as it Continues its Campaign of Genocide and Extermination “The Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital for cancer patients has been destroyed by the Israeli military as part of its attack on the Gaza Strip. The hospital, located in the Netzarim Corridor close to Salah al-Din Street, was being used as a command centre by Israeli forces during their previous military assault in central and northern Gaza. Today it was blown up completely after having been rebuilt with a Turkish donation of $34m in 2017. The facility used to provide cancer treatment to 10,000 patients annually. This comes after Israel said it was expanding the Netzarim Corridor and blocked all movement on Salah al-Din Street. People wanting to travel between the north and the south of Gaza must use al-Rashid Street, which is becoming more and more dangerous because of Israeli attacks.” @aljazeeraenglish

@jeremycorbyn demands inquiry to expose who authorised British participation in the Gaza genocide. Speaking to Palestinian Deep Dive’s @ahmed_alnaouq, @jeremycorbyn says, “I want to know and I really do want to know who in the British government authorised the overflying of Gaza? Who in the British government authorised the delivery of weapons? Who in the British government knowingly provided weapons to a country that has been arraigned before the ICJ and the ICC?” To obtain answers to these questions, the former UK Labour Party leader is demanding a “Chilcot-style” inquiry into the British government’s participation in the Gaza genocide. The Chilcot Report, officially titled the Iraq Inquiry, was an independent public inquiry into the UK’s involvement in the 2003 Iraq War, chaired by Sir John Chilcot. The Report exposed intelligence failures, lack of planning and questioned the legal basis for the war. Corbyn said he remains “constantly astonished” by the attitude of successive UK governments, which continue to enable Israel’s assaults on Gaza, an onslaught he describes as “a Second World War-Style carpet bombing.” However if the government refuses such an inquiry, Corbyn says he will not be deterred from continuing to demand one by billing further parliamentary debates. He also says an alternative would be a public inquiry inspired by the Russell Tribunal on the Vietnam War, “so we will have an open process with expert opinions, witnesses and evidence.” Corbyn urged people everywhere to keep up the pressure on their governments to stop the genocide in Gaza. He emphasised the need to use every available avenue— street protests, raising awareness and protesting against Elbit Systems weapons factories in the UK in particular— to demand justice and accountability. A Message from Gaza to Stormzy: “End Your Partnership with McDonald’s Now!” The Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions movement @bds.movement supports a global boycott of McDonald’s until it cuts ties with Israeli franchisees over support for Israel’s campaign of ethnic cleansing and genocide against the Palestinian people. The call for a global boycott of McDonald’s restaurants followed the chain’s decision to provide free meals for the Israeli military personnel. Hamza Salha, a Palestinian journalist and English Literature student living in northern Gaza, calls on British rapper and musician Stormzy to stand with Palestinians at this crucial moment and end his collaboration with McDonald’s. Hamza’s home in Jabalia, northern Gaza, was destroyed during Israel’s assaults on Gaza. On December 1st 2023, Hamza was injured in an airstrike after being buried under the rubble. Ahmed’s Search for Justice: The Hague Group Ahmed Alnaouq of Palestine Deep Dive opened The Hague Group’s inaugural meeting on January 31 in the Netherlands, addressing diplomats, human rights activists, and legal experts. “On October 22, an Israeli plane dropped a bomb on my home, killing 21 members of my family, including 14 children—my nieces and nephews.” For Ahmed and every Palestinian, justice is not abstract but deeply personal—especially for the 2.3 million in Gaza suffering under Israel’s impunity. Convened by Progressive International, the coalition—comprising Belize, Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Honduras, Malaysia, Namibia, Senegal, and South Africa—has pledged legal action against Israel’s genocide. Their commitments include: Upholding ICC arrest warrants for Israeli officials. Halting arms transfers to Israel that risk violating international law. Banning military-related shipments to Israel from their ports. “For 76 years, we’ve faced massacres, displacement, and wars with no accountability,” Ahmed said. The Hague Group emerges amid unprecedented attacks on the ICC and ICJ. Israel ignores ICJ rulings, while the U.S. shields its leaders and threatens sanctions. In defiance, the Global South stands firm: genocide must not go unpunished. Their message is clear—no one is above the law. Who will join this fight for justice and humanity next?

Meet Rasheed Abueideh, the Award-Winning Palestinian Game Designer Determined to Expose the Ongoing Nakba From our New Podcast is Available Now on Spotify & Apple Podcasts: Game Design in the Shadow of Genocide | Rasheed Abueideh (Link in bio) Composer and sound designer Sami El-Enany learns about Rasheed’s latest project, “Dreams On A Pillow”, a stealth game set during the ethnic cleansing and violent displacement of Palestinians in the 1948 Nakba. The game follows the story of a Palestinian woman who carries a pillow instead of her child by mistake after fleeing an Israeli massacre. Set in multiple timelines, the game aims to preserve the memory of pre-Nakba Palestine and highlight the trauma endured by Palestinians. Rasheed Abueideh is a Palestinian game designer from a village near Nablus in the West Bank. He gained international recognition with his game “Liyla and the Shadows of War”, which tells the story of a young girl and her father navigating a decimated Gaza during the Israeli aggression of 2014. Sami El-Enany is a composer and sound designer. Through his practice and research, Sami is delving into the sonics of solidarity, exploring sound as resonance for union.
