In an extraordinary achievement, 23-year-old Mohsin Khan made history by successfully defending a mere 11 runs against the mighty Mumbai Indians in a thrilling match. The Lucknow Supergiants set a target of 177 runs, losing only 3 wickets along the way. While the batsmen of Mumbai Indians could only score 172 runs in 20 overs in reply. The match became very exciting in the last three overs. In which Mumbai needed 30 runs in the last 2 overs, there was a big challenge in front of it.

Afghan fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq, known for his clash with Virat Kohli, was entrusted with the 19th over. However, he conceded 19 runs, leaving Mumbai with 11 runs required from 6 balls.
Renowned finishers Tim David and Cameron Green were at the crease, and the tension was palpable. At that time It seemed that the game would be over in an instant.

But then came Mohsin Khan, a relatively unknown Indian fast bowler. He stepped up to bowl the crucial 20th over. Shubman Gill, a talented 23-year-old cricketer, has achieved an incredible feat in the year 2023. He has become the only batsman in the world to score a century in T20Is, ODIs, Tests, and the IPL. Additionally, he has also become the first player to score a century for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL. In a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gill smashed his third century of the year. In the IPL 2023 season, he has scored 576 runs in 13 matches, with a strike rate of 146 and an average of 48. He has also scored four half-centuries and one century.

Gill's incredible journey began in February when he scored a T20 century for Team India at the same ground. In March, he continued his exceptional form by scoring a century in a Test match held in Ahmedabad. It is worth mentioning that the final of the ODI World Cup, scheduled to be held at the end of the year, will also take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gill's consistent performance includes seven centuries since December 2022. He scored six centuries for Team India and the first century of the IPL against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Despite being dismissed by the extra cover fielder on the first ball of Bhuvneshwar Kumar's 20th over, Gill had already accomplished his mission. His century played a vital role in Gujarat's win. Excitingly, the final of the ODI World Cup will also take place at the same ground. Indian cricket fans have high hopes that Gill will perform exceptionally well in the World Cup and help Team India become champions after 12 years.

Suryakumar Yadav's incredible performance outshines Rashid Khan's all-round efforts. In the latest IPL 2023 match against the Gujarat Titans, Suryakumar Yadav played a vital role in leading the Mumbai Indians to the top three of the points table. His magnificent century, scored in a blazing fashion, helped Mumbai secure a crucial victory. With 14 points, including seven wins and five losses in 12 matches, Mumbai now stands at the third position. If they manage to win the next two matches, they have a chance to reach the top two spots. Suryakumar Yadav deserves all the credit for Mumbai's recent success, as he has been consistently performing well. In the last seven matches, he has scored four half-centuries and one century.

The match held at the Wankhede Stadium was of great significance for Mumbai Indians. A loss would have severely damaged their playoff chances. Unfortunately, captain Rohit Sharma lost the toss, and Mumbai had to chase the target. However, the bowling performance of the Mumbai Indians has been disappointing throughout the season.

After the powerplay, Mumbai were 61 for no loss. However, as they say, your performance is what truly matters, not just your initial start. Rashid Khan, the talented bowler, dismissed both Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan in the same over right after the powerplay. Mumbai Indians were then 66 for two in 6.5 overs. This was the second consecutive match in which both Mumbai openers were dismissed in the same over. Suryakumar Yadav, who played a remarkable innings of 83 runs in the previous match, once again carried the weight of responsibility on his shoulders. The bowling attack of the Gujarat Titans has been outstanding throughout the tournament, making it a challenging task for Suryakumar Yadav.

Nonetheless, Surya displayed incredible batting skills and scored an unbeaten 103 runs off just 49 balls, at a strike rate of 210. The Wankhede Stadium erupted with joy as Surya played a stunning innings, comprising of 11 fours and 6 sixes. This innings will be remembered as one of the best in the history of the IPL. Suryakumar Yadav single-handedly turned the tide of the match. Although Rashid Khan took four wickets for a mere 30 runs, Mumbai managed to score 218 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Under the pressure of a big target, the top order of the Gujarat Titans completely collapsed. They could only score 103 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 13.2 overs. Rashid Khan tried his best to salvage the match with an unbeaten 79 runs off 32 balls, including 3 fours and 10 sixes. However, it was clear to everyone that no matter what, Mumbai could not afford to lose this match. Despite Rashid's impressive innings, Mumbai suffered a blow to their net run rate. If the target had been around 200, the attitude of the Gujarat batsmen might have been different.
