There is something about a comfy t-shirt 👗 that you can throw on and go! Of course, I have to be extra, so it’s notted 😆. For another look, I added a blue jean dress and popped the collar. I left it open and wore it as a duster! Soo versatile! I topped this look off with my .chuck.taylor.

Trust the Process

The older I get, I’m learning to step outside of my comfort zone more. In doing this, I don’t know what to expect because it’s new. But, what I do know is if I try it with success as my end goal, I’m going after it until I get it! Can’t stop, won’t stop! 🛑

Point n case...I was trying out some new beauty products and my mind was saying, “this ain’t it Derschaun!” 🥴 I thought for a split second, “just do it like you always do it.” Then I thought, “but you’ll get the same thing you’ve always gotten and you’re trying to step up your makeup game!” So, as I kept going through the steps with the new products, the plan came together and the end result is exactly what I imagined in my head!

To keep you on top of summer beauty and style, here are the summer eye trends for 2021:

Eye Trends
1. Inner corner pop
2. Blue and green eyeshadow
3. Soft smokey eyes
4. Colored liner

Colored eyeshadows and liners like white, blue, purple, and green are in for summer as well as a soft smokey eye. Less is more for summer, especially with the weather increasing into the 90’s. Look at how these beauties rocked out some of the summer trends. Which will you try or you’re already rocking it now?

During yesterday’s D2 Episode with my girl , I mentioned the following 2021 summer lip trends. Check out the video to see the bold orange that I wore! My oh my was it bold! Here’s to stepping outside of my comfort zone :)

Remember when wearing a bold lip to wear a subtle eye so they are not competing with each other for attention. And remember if you wear a bold eye, wear a subtle lip. You don’t want people to be confused when they look at your face. One area should be the focal point.

Let me introduce myself. 🎤 I’m Derschaun and mysterious is what I’m often called. People want to know who Derschaun is and this photo says it all. I am soo silly, full of life & love with a servants heart♥️ It’s true… I’m an introvert, but I know how to show up when I need to as an extrovert. I love my alone time because it allows me space to recharge because I’m pulled on in soo many ways by my family and friends that I need to “sat” 🪑down somewhere often. When I’m quiet, I’m thinking, 🤔observing and reading energy. When I’m talking, I’ve peeped your vibe and you’re all right with me. 👍🏽When the tides turn, you’ll know. 🌊

I don’t allow a lot of people in my space because it’s sacred. I connect 🔌 most with people that have a vision for their lives and are going after it like their life depends on it! As my husband says, I’m walking 🚶 with people who are walking, I’m running 🏃 with those who are running and I’m running the hell away from anybody who is standing still!

We live in a society where women and young girls are constantly made to feel unseen and unheard. I’m here to tell you that women are a force to be reckoned with. 🍃

Empowerment is the feeling that you can do anything and you deserve to do well. It all starts with developing your skills, leaning on support systems, and staying true to yourself. You’re capable of so much more than you think 🌼

I know that there is plenty of content on social media that has shared this exact same sentiment. However, if we commit to sharing this message as much as possible, more women are likely to absorb this information and empower themselves.
