Born in Chicago and a graduate of the University of Michigan, Nancy moved to New York City to work in the magazine business as a writer and editor. After working for publications ranging from Rolling Stone to Good Housekeeping, she turned to fiction. She wrote the Joanna Stafford trilogy, a trio of thrillers set in Henry VIII’s England, for Touchstone/Simon & Schuster. For her Genevieve Planché novels—The Blue, The Fugitive Colours, and The Versailles Formula—she drew on her heritage to create a Huguenot heroine. Nancy is a direct descendant of Pierre Billiou, a French Huguenot who immigrated to what was then New Amsterdam (later New York City) in 1661. Nancy’s ancestor, Isaac, was born on the boat crossing the Atlantic. Pierre’s stone house is the third oldest house in New York State.

This Saturday! I’m so excited to be part of this event at Gibson's Bookstore.
Hope to see some of you there!
(Notes about parking)
On-street parking can be scarce: Gibson's strongly suggests using the Capital Commons parking garage at 75 Storrs Street, which is one street east (or downhill) from South Main Street and Gibson's Bookstore. The 2nd floor of the parking garage stairwell and elevator exits directly onto South Main Street, one and a half blocks away from Gibson's (heading left, away from the lighted 4-way intersection)

Host and Gothic Horror novelist Jennifer Anne Gordon (with help from co-hosts Author, Allison Martine and Acuthor Trisha Ridinger Mckee) chat with some of the best, and most successful authors of the day, not about what their greatest successes are, but about all the things that may have gone wrong during their first drafts, writing experiments, books read, social media rants and more. This is Vox Vomitus (word vomit).
Jennifer Anne Gordon is a gothic horror novelist. Her debut novel, Beautiful, Frightening, has received critical acclaim, while her second novel, From Daylight to Madness, is set to be released in late summer 2020 and is the second in her "Dagger Island" series. She had a collection of her mixed media artwork published during spring of 2020, entitled Victoriana: mixed media art of Jennifer Gordon. She is also a book reviewer and contributor to HorrorTree.com
Jennifer is a pale curly haired ginger, obsessed with horror, ghosts, abandoned buildings, and her dog "Lord Tubby". She graduated from the New Hampshire Institute of Art, where she studied Acting. She also studied at the University of New Hampshire with a concentration in Art History and English. She has made her living as an actress, a magician's assistant, a "gallerina", a painter, and burlesque performer. For the past 10 years as an award winning professional ballroom dancer, performer, instructor, and choreographer. When not scribbling away (ok, typing frantically) she enjoys traveling with her fiance and dance partner Roman Sirotin, teaching her dog ridiculous tricks (like 'give me a kiss' and 'what hand is the treat in?' as well as taking photos of abandoned buildings and haunted locations. She is a Leo, so at the end of the day she really she just thinks about her hair. Her novel as well as her art collection are available on Amazon.
Co-Host Allison Hubbard is a multi-genre novelist and near-native Southern Californian with a penchant for attending universities known for their ideal surfing spots but has never actually surfed. After a decade of practicing law she has left behind her briefcase but kept her argumentative streak and love of bad analogies. She returns now to pursue her first love, full-time, by pursuing the creative writing she’s snuck into the margins of her life since she first got a glimpse of a typewriter at age six. She now writes literary science fiction under the pen name A.M. Hubbard and romance as Allison Martine. Her debut romance novel, Dibs, is available on Amazon.
Bio Co-Host Trisha McKee decided to help weather the storm of a brutal childhood, she created her own stories to escape. As an adult, she continued writing, although it became more for pleasure than a coping mechanism. She put herself through college, formed her own family, and kept writing through it all. She currently resides in a small town in Pennsylvania with her stoic husband and enchanting daughter, as well as her bulldogs. She works at Penn State University. In April 2019, Trisha decided to step out of her comfort zone and start sending out her writing. Since then, her award-winning work has appeared in over 60 publications, including J.J. Outre Review, Tablet Magazine, The Oddville Press, Crab Fat Literary, Horror Magazine, Hybrid Fiction, several anthologies, and more. Her debut novel Beyond the Surface is available through Amazon.
