November spending recap (scroll for details). This was our first full month doing expense tracking via , and it’s so much easier to view and pull a spending recap to share publicly. We spent $9,733 in November, some commentary on the month:
🏐Kids club volleyball fees made this our biggest expense category.
✈️We bought 5 tickets to Australia for next summer with the kiddos and used miles for 4 tickets and then purchased the 5th ticket for $1600. That plus fees is the second biggest expense for the month.
🌮 We spent 1.5 weeks in Portugal during November and so grocery bill was lower because of that and we track travel food separately.
👖👟Greg and I both did some clothing shopping in Portugal. We tend to shop more when we’re traveling. Its a good memory of that location, different countries have different shoe and clothing styles that are often unqiue vs what I can get in the US, and we have the time. All things we’re using and appreciating!
🍃Our lawn care is about $130 per month ($65 per service, every other week), but I was paying for Oct and Nov at once and 5 payments landed in that period.
…Then lots of other stuff. I do see some things we can curb back a bit on, mainly streaming services. I usually don’t keep too many on at once, but right now things are a bit off and we need to cleanup.
I love tracking my expenses. It just allows me to feel in control of what’s happening with my money and I am more mindful and intentional with my spending.
Oh, and we’re a blended family of 5 living in Atlanta, GA. And we’ve paid off our mortgage, otherwise that would be our most expensive expense category.
How does this compare to your expenses? I find it fascinating to hear what others are spending.
