We need to bring back those prefab homes. I know they still exist, but maybe that's an industry the government should be subsidizing to help them increase production instead of handing huge piles of cash to the fossil fuel industry and cops...

Mind you, this is simply a way to help while still under our current system, yes I'd prefer we simply provided housing to people, but I'll take any actual progress I can get.

We need living wages, healthcare, childcare, eldercare, housing, education....and instead all of the nation's resources go to funding wars overseas, while the people sink deeper and deeper into the abyss.

Considering yourself a liberal isn't inherently a bad thing. The problem isn't you, it's with all the other liberals that this accurately describes. The odds are, you still have the same values, still care about people, and want to see real progress. The rest of the liberals in the Democratic Party....well, that's a different story. You're likely no longer really a liberal, but not because you've abandoned your principles...but because far too many who use that label, never really had any to begin with. We're not attacking you when we post things like this, or call out "liberals"...You likely just need to adopt a new label, or you have to work extra hard to try and make the word mean what you feel it should...but so many who call themselves a "liberal" are doing all they can to thwart your efforts. Sometimes, it's just best to ditch the label and show who you are through your words and your actions.
(Hell, I'm just a generic leftist as far as I'm concerned...not sure about anything beyond that tbh)

I'd be a liar if I didn't say that it wasn't discouraging watching how badly the page is being throttled right now. I'm not going to give up, but holy hell, either all my recent posts just suck, or FB is limiting my reach in a major way (it's possible they all just suck).

Hope you all had a decent weekend at least. Mine's been..up and down a bit. Started off with the stress of not knowing if we'd end up homeless or not, but I guess everything has been a slight improvement once that s**t was resolved.

A movie like this could revitalize the MCU. I'd watch this movie. I'd want to see a team up where they just go and take down all the Capitalists who are getting rich off of the suffering of others. Hell, give the Oligarchs some superpowers of their own, or some sort of super weapon, or have them being led by some Demon or extra dimensional being if you have to, but I'd really just enjoy a 2 hour movie where Superheroes are just going around beating Capitalists to a fu***ng pulp for the suffering and death they've caused, even if they were just regular humans.

I know it's likely a common answer at least...Maybe it could be just removing "Greed"? That would be a pretty massive improvement for all of us, I think. As to the why....well, because it causes so much suffering and death, that if we got rid of it, we'd likely improve life for damn near everyone almost overnight...

I've had people get mad and unfollow because I wasn't posting about the one specific topic they were hyperfocused on. I post about a variety of topics, I post things that are meant to just be funny and maybe not anything serious from time to time (because we all need a laugh once in a while)...but the truth is, it's all connected, sometimes in obvious ways, sometimes not so obvious ones. If you have something you're more focused on, keep at it, just don't insist that others share your same focus, as long as they are talking about other connected problems, it's all part of the big picture.
