The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment was founded as, and remains a land-grant institution, committed to improving the quality of life for Kentuckians. Our research, teaching, and extension programs are part of a national system that maintains a statewide presence and links local, state, and global issues. Agriculture, food, and environmental systems are key compo

nents of Kentucky's economic future, and the college is playing a prominent role in those areas with its programs. Our college features 14 academic units that offer 21 undergraduate and 23 graduate degree or certificate programs. 2,717 students were enrolled in the Fall of academic year 2020, including 400 new incoming undergraduate students. We have 267 faculty members and over 1,500 staff engage in teaching, research, and extension. The University of Kentucky Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service had 5,964,582 contacts with stakeholders in 2020.
