Tempers flared in Parliament on Tuesday after Finance and the Public Service Minister, Dr Nigel Clarke, referred to Opposition Leader Mark Golding as "Massa Mark."
Clarke used the reference against Golding, who, he said, referred to labourites as "damn fools" at a People's National Party (PNP) meeting last Thursday.
Angela Brown-Clarke got up in defence of Golding, questioning why the term "Massa Mark" was used, but she was chastised for her unparliamentary language when she told someone on the Government benches to "shut up yuh mouth and let me talk".
A van belonging to popular security company Berrylluim has been attacked by gunmen in Portmore, St Catherine on Sunday. At least one security guard was shot and injured.
It is being reported that the two cars the criminals were driving, were found in bushes in Lakes Pen, St Catherine.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness says he will not be deterred following a myriad of microphone issues which affected his budget presentation in the Houses of Representatives on Thursday. The sitting was adjourned for about an hour. On resumption, Holness sang, "Nobody's gonna break my stride, Nobody's gonna slow me down."

NOW: Firefighter Leo Bennett has ended his one-man protest on top of the Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre. Scores of persons celebrated as the embattled fireman who has been suspended from the Jamaica Fire Brigade (JFB), descended from the top of the structure.
He had climbed the structure from before dawn, to protest several issues affecting firefighters, including a new shift system.
Bennett was suspended from the Brigade in May last year.

He staged a one-man protest to highlight issues his colleagues at the Jamaica Fire Brigade continue to allegedly face.
Been was suspended from the Brigade last May after staging a one-man protest over shift arrangements.
HAPPENING NOW: A man, said to be a firefighter, has climbed onto the top of the Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre. The fireman, it is being claimed, is protesting new changes under the Government’s compensation review system for the Jamaica Fire Brigade (JFB).
Personnel from the JFB and police force are at the scene to try and rescue the man. Crowds have converged at the location.

That's the cry of teachers at Manchester High School in the south-central parish as they stage a protest to register their displeasure at the Government’s new compensation review.
Teachers across the island have been staging sit-ins or sick-outs since Monday in protest of what they say are unsatisfactory wages being proposed by the Government.
