Ollin reveals details of their upcoming, third album called Still, which premiers via Lena Records in mid 2016.
It's time for some big news! Open your champagne (or a wintertime beverage of choice), sit back and enjoy!
Third Ollin album will be called Still. There will be four tracks on it:
- Still
- Heavy Mercury
- The Great Spirit
- Dyanik
Stylistically the album will be a rather new territory for the band- ambient and electronica will be here, but this time in the form of lengthy and sweeping pieces, sometimes mixed with a beat, elsewhere they'll be more focused and drawing inspiration from 70s electronica. One tune will include elements drawing heavily from Native American music. So far the new pieces seem to be much more on a side of warmer sound palette. Heartfelt would be a good description.
The input from each member is very balanced and we operate much more as a band, perhaps a lot more than in the past, which is great. There will be talent from outside of Ollin involved in recording the album. The title track has already been completed. The rest of the new material is being developed and is scheduled for recording in January next year.
We're excited, even more so since we already have a lot of plans- and we mean a lot- beyond the recording and release of Still. The album should premiere sometime in mid 2016 but we've got no dates as of now. The attached illustration is not the album cover.
Stay tuned for more information regarding Still as we get closer to its completion and release as well as some special stuff related to Ollin's tenth anniversary of which celebrations will continue throughout the first few months of the new year, bringing about a surprise or two.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2016! See you in Jan!
Radek & Juan.
