Coffee was discovered in Ethiopia but in 1600, coffee made its way to Christian Europe from the Muslim Middle East and the clergy looked at it with a great deal of suspicion calling it “the bitter invention of Satan”

When the beverage made its way to the Vatican, many of his advisors wanted Pope Clement VIII (1536-1605) to ban the controversial drink.

However, the Pope refused to do so and decided to taste the drink before making his decision.

When the Pope took a sip, he allegedly declared:

“This Satan’s drink is so delicious that it would be a pity to let the infidels have exclusive use of it. We should cheat the devil by baptizing it.”

With the Pope’s blessing, Catholics all around the world were free to drink coffee and it spread all over Europe.

On March 22, 2014, in an area known as Soka in Ibadan, a ritualist den was discovered. The den was a psychiatric hospital that was converted to a slaughter lab for kidnappers and ritualists.

Severed human heads, hands, legs, and other human body parts were found in the buildings. Several terribly malnourished and sick male and female victims, who were to be slaughtered, were rescued.

Some of the victims that were slaughtered and dismembered were students of Lead City University, little school children, okada riders, and hawkers. Motorcycles, ID cards, school bags, shoes, etc of the unfortunate victims were found in the buildings.

The buildings have now been converted to beautiful schools, but the history of what happened hunts the school's— only few people are willing to enroll their kids in the school, and many parents are withdrawing their kids from the school.

Till today, no one has been prosecuted for the evil discovered in Soka.

There is a town in southern Portugal in the district of Faro, region and sub-region of Algarve, called Lagos.

The Lagos in Nigeria is named after the Lagos in Portugal. Before 1760, the areas we call Lagos today, was called "Eko." In the 1760s when slave trade thrived in the region, Portuguese slave traders named Eko Lagos.

That time, the Lagos in Portugal was a trading hub that has the largest link to Africa. In Portuguese, "Lagos" means "lakes".

Staying true to the real meaning of its name, the Lagos in Portugal has several beautiful beaches and lakes.

Which is why, today, Lagos, Portugal is a beachy popular tourist attraction— though the Lagos in Nigeria is a huge commerce hub.
