Twelve years ago today, I had the honor of being crowned
👑Thee 58th Miss Morris College👑

This achievement holds even greater meaning for me now than it did back then. It was a profound privilege to represent my college/ HBCU in such a distinguished role.

This past Friday, I returned as a former queen to witness the crowning of the 71st Miss Morris College, along with Mr. Morris College. It was a joy to celebrate with them and see the legacy continue.

Same fun family tradition, just with a new little pumpkin added to the patch! 🤎🤎🧡🧡🍂🍂

We started visiting four years ago when our son was just 7 months old. This past weekend, we had the joy of sharing the experience with our 4-month-old daughter.

I told my husband he didn’t have to come if his schedule didn’t allow it, but he quickly responded, “Oh, I wouldn’t miss it—it’s my favorite!”

Over the years, Clinton Farms has grown so much. What started as a simple tradition now includes a corn maze, playground, obstacle course, wagon rides, food, drinks, and, of course, the pumpkin patch!

We are so excited to welcome our bundle of joy into the world in a few short weeks, but it’s been 4 years since we had a newborn in the house 🥹 We’ve discovered some amazing products along the way to help make parenthood a little easier. Here are our top 10 favorite baby products that have been absolute lifesavers:

1️⃣ All in one stroller/ car seat: 10/10 recommend this travel system as the way to go! It made our on the go life so much easier.

2️⃣ Baby Carrier: Stylish and functional, and besides you only get one back, invest into a good one.

3️⃣ Nursing Cover: grabbed this one off Amazon, the one quality was amazing. Using the same one this time around.

4️⃣ Breast Pump: This one was amazing! I was able to breastfeed my son for 15 months and I couldn’t have done it without a quality pump. Plus the bottles were the best!

5️⃣ Skin Care: This brand has all your little one hygiene needs with a gentle touch for sensitive skin.

6️⃣ Hip-seat: perfect when little ones want to be close to mama.

7️⃣ Baby Gate: As our son got bigger this one made our house a safe place for him to explore.

8️⃣ Control Rinser: no water in little ones eyes during bath time.

9️⃣ Hydration: Helped mama stay hydrated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

🔟 Snack tray and floor seat: As little one begin to sit up this our go to.

Congratulations mama🎊🎄

We’ve made it to the last month of the year! Wheww girl! I’m enjoying the holidays but also excited for those holiday recharge days 🧖🏽‍♀️. You know!! Those days after Christmas that you lay around in your pjs, eat, and watch Christmas movies on repeat.

After I lay around for a few days, it’s time to get organized and prep for the new year. Which I’m looking forward to the new start. Along with my personal to-do list, I have a few mommy chores:

1. Pack up my son’s too small clothes for the attic. I use the vacuum storage bags which are AMAZING!!

2. Update my son’s email: I have a email address for him that I send all his images to for memories.

3. Last but not least. Just know, I’m forever throwing toys out 🫠

What was on your Christmas list this year? 🎄👀🥰

I’m not sure what it is, but I’m definitely into anything that involves relaxing and self-care. Hubby was like, let’s do couples massages and a trip to the chiropractor. I’m so with that.

Guess who’s getting promoted to BIG brother?!

The funny thing is, he was the first person who told me I had a baby in my belly😂🤰🏽I love the way he is taking his role very serious already.

Questions he asked lately:

“Where is he or she going to sleep?”

“When are we going to get some clothes for the baby?”

“Besides drinking mommy’s milk, what else does the baby eat?”

“Can the baby play with my toys?”

These are legitimate questions our 3.5 year old is asking 😀😭

Parents what advice do you have when transitioning from one to two little ones?

It’s beginning to FEEL like FALL 🍂

I’m feeling the shift in the temperatures, cooler mornings, and earlier nights. Last year our son was a little pumpkin toddler and this year he is a playful preschooler. It’s amazing how season’s change and bring a newness each year. I’m excited because he’s able to engage more with activities. I’ve waited for the moment to start lasting traditions with my family. To cherish for years to come doing it my way.

This is our favorite park to visit. It’s 30 mins from our house but so worth the drive. This park exceeds my expectations and is very modern and uniquely designed. It’s a inclusive playground which means that the play experience meet the needs of a variety of children. There is something for all children to enjoy!
