DYING UP HERE | EP. 002 | " Words Matter"
Welcome to “Dying Up Here.”
A Brand new live podcast from the minds of Andy Victory and Rachel Darling.
Dying up here (D.U.H.) is a weekly variety show filmed live on Monday nights at The Studio in downtown Lockport Il. Each week, we are hoping for an eclectic range of individuals to sign-up for the chance to perform their act. (MAX Time limit 5 mins.) After each act, the performer will then be interviewed so the audience has the opportunity to learn more about them.
We are open to many types of performers, this is not limited to strictly music.
We are looking for Comedians, Magicians, Drag Queens, Story tellers, Balloon Artists, Jugglers, Contortionists, Artists, Painters, Sword Swallowers, Bearded Ladies, Giants, Twins, Animal trainers, Authors, Film Makers, Hair Dressers, Make up artists, The list goes on and on.
If you have a special talent, we want to see it, and talk to you about it!
Filmed in front of a live studio audience
This week we had the privilege to enjoy some amazing music from David and Frank Lozano, a father and son who are both insanely talented.
They bring to light different styles of spanish music on the accordion and bajo quinto.
After that, we were pleased to be joined by Jay.
Jay is a newer banjo player, but is a veteran of words.
His songs are powerful and passionate.
Phil Landrio was an unexpected ( and semi-forced) surprise on the DUH stage.
Keeping us chuckling, Phil is a smart and talented comic you should all follow.
For the shows end, we were thrilled to have the iconic J. Ross Green join us.
Johnny is a talent like no other. His songs are dramatic, theatric, and fantastic. Find him playing around town at a show in the future!
