Smoking Toilet!
The toilet is smoking! Scary moment in our shop today. You can’t be too careful around all these chemicals.

Mid Frreze tip:
Don’t allow large sheets of ice to damage tile or plaster or block flow to skimmers. Thick sheets of ice can create a lot of pressure and force on its outer edges. This can damage tile or plaster and skimmers.
We recommend occasionally breaking up ice on the water surface. We use a maul or sledge hammer. Be careful not to break tile or damage the plaster. Shallow areas like tanning ledges are typically first to freeze and freeze the thickest. Video below shows how we use the sledge safely
Watch for ice blocking water flow to skimmers. This can result in a pump losing prime and flow, which can result in freeze damage to equipment.
We recommend floating 1/2 full water bottles in skimmers and larger containers in spas or pool. This helps absorb some of the force and pressure created by expanding ice, and when you need to break it up it gives you good fracture points to start at.
How to use sledge for breaking ice on pool
Don’t swing the sledge like a hammer, use the top and weight to break ice. Break it more frequently and it will be easier to manage
