Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni shared that all his daughters maintained their Vir.ginty until marriage. According to his wife, Janet Museveni, this is due to their upbringing. She discussed this during the commemoration of Girl Child Day.

Janet Museveni revealed that all her daughters were married before engaging in premarital relations. The president’s daughters include Diana Museveni (married to Godfrey Kamuntu), Patience Museveni (married to Edwin Karugire), and Natasha Museveni (married to Odrek Rwabwogo).

THE SECRET
Janet Museveni attributes their upbringing to traditional African values. She explained that she had her daughters sign cards affirming their Vir.ginity. These cards were then given to their husbands on the night after their wedding.

BREAKING NEWS: Gogrial East wins for first time in BCL

Gogrial East Football Team on Thursday evening registered their first-ever win against Aweil Center in the Bahr El Ghazal Counties’ League.

In a BCL match played at Giada Playground, Gogrial East defeated Aweil Center with 2-1. Madut Maluoi and Deng Cee scored in the second half to make history for The Hawks.

Gogrial East now has 5 points with 1 win, 2 draws, and a loss and is yet to play its last group-stage match with Jur River County.

President Kiir calls for empowerment of local traders to achieve economic stability

Juba, Monday (July 1, 2024) - In order to spur economic growth and generate chances for development, H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit has urged the newly appointed Minister of Trade and Industry to diligently strive towards empowering local traders.

The President was speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed officials – the Minister of Trade and Industry, Joseph Moum Majak; and the Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, Simon Uber Ajongo Mawut, on Monday.

To adequately serve the country, President Kiir emphasized the importance of prioritizing national interests over personal ones.

Minister Majak promised to work relentlessly with his colleagues in the economic institutions to develop measures that address the core causes of inflation and restore economic stability.

Governor Uber, for his part, promised to travel to Aweil and bring the people of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State together as they work to build their community.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry is responsible for overseeing the market, ensuring fair competition between enterprises, and protecting consumers from exploitation.

Government suspends payments until further notice

The Ministry of Finance and Planning has announced the suspension of all payments, effective immediately, until further notice. This directive comes as the fiscal year 2023/2024 officially ends on June 30, 2024, in accordance with the Public Financial Management and Accountability Act (PFMAA) of 2011, as amended.

The announcement was made in public notice issued by Malual Tap Dieu, the 1st Undersecretary for Finance. The Ministry will not receive new claims until the 2024/2025 budget is passed by the Transitional National Legislature and assented into law.

The notice was circulated to all spending agencies, including ministries and commissions, and emphasized that this suspension aims to manage the transition between fiscal years efficiently. It also noted that the suspension would remain in place until the new budget is approved, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with legal frameworks.

The Ministry has requested the cooperation of all relevant bodies during this period of financial transition and urged them to adhere to the suspension to maintain financial order.

Ambassador Mum Arrives in Juba

JUBA- The Newly Appointed National Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Amb. Joseph Mum Majak has arrived in Juba this afternoon from Nairobi.

He was received at Juba International Airport by the officials by the youth of Aguok Kuei in Juba led by the Chairman of Aguok Kuei Youth Association in Juba, Eng. Ayom Agany Wol and officials in the Ministry of Trade and Industry led by the First UnderSecretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Hon. Kuol Ayolo.

The chairperson of Organizing Committee for the reception of the Minister, Cde. Chan Chan Longar was able to mobilize the youth to ensure this warm welcoming for the son of the soil and our own leader, Hon. Mum Majak.

Subsequently, the appointed Minister was happily received by the women, cultural groups, chiefs and others. The welcoming was massive and jubilant.

South Sudan’s main armed opposition SPLM-IO leader and First Vice President Riek Machar has strongly opposed a proposal by Kenyan mediators that could see cabinet ministerial positions reduced to 20 and potentially extend the transitional government for five years.

The proposal, according to activists briefed on the talks, envisions extending the transitional period for “at least five years” with President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Machar remaining in their positions but with “curtailed powers and a slimmer cabinet.”

This approach stems from proposals submitted last week by two key stakeholders, the South Sudan Opposition Movements Alliance (SSOMA) and factions within the South Sudan United National Alliance (SSUNA) led by Stephen Buay Rolnyang.

Juba, Thursday (June 20, 2024) - H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit received a detailed progress report on the Tumaini Initiative from the Head of the Nairobi Peace Process Delegation, Amb. Albino Mathem; and the Minister of Information, Hon. Michael Makuei, on Thursday.

SCANDAL: Could Martin Elia Lomuro be a dead man walking? Is it a matter of time that the longest serving minister will be shown an exit door?

Law makers are no longer only SPLMs, even though they are, times are different, the most staunch supporters of the party are the very ones now angry at why they are not paid wages.

Grilled by MPs the whereabouts of the 10 million dollars meant for peace implementation, Lomuro arrogantly told the MPs he was authorized by the head of government and that he couldn't resist his boss.

The next two days, he called the press to deny the previous statements.

Whether he was revealing the ways not known to the public or he meant to intimidate the law makers, is known to him only.

The question is, will he survive this blonder?

Here are five officials who said bye to their jobs for telling the truth.

Agak Achuil-former minister of finance and planning.

In a press conference attended by the then governor of the central Bank Makur Deng Manguak, Achuil talked in black and white revealing that the country was too broke to pay civil servants as non-oil revenue is normally used to meet other priorities of the government and that civil servants were only paid with borrowed money.

He said his predecessors had pre-sold the oil up to 2027 and that if he wanted to pay the year in front of him, he would have to borrow 2028 crude oil. The following day, Mr. Achuil retracted his statement in what appeared like a summon by the big man and claimed that he was taken out of context as what he meant was the spread sheet.

A few weeks later (4 Aug 2022), He was fired together with his counterpart, the governor of the bank who appeared grinning on that fateful press conference day, implying that he was in agreement with what Achuil said.

Below are the pictorials of a series of meetings held by the National Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Inter-states organizing committee in the presence of the minister himself.

In the pictorials also are a series of meetings held by Inter-states and SSFA in the presence of the SSFA president himself Gen. Augustino and the Federation SG Victor Lawrence Lual.

In the past few weeks; the SSFA Secretary General released a press statement saying that SSFA would support Inter-states organizers technically.

The organizing committee proceeded with their plans as they were instructed by the national ministry of youth and sports to do the draws in their hall in close supervision of the ministry representatives which included the Director General.

Now here comes the big event; yesterday the SSFA Spokesperson Albino Kuek Deng denied knowing these organizers and called them the wrong group and said that he doesn’t know about this Interstates tournament.

JUST IN: The CEO of Miss Greater Tonj Mrs. Nyibol Mathiang Akuchwel, has made a significant contribution to the development of sports in Tonj South and Tonj North. she donated 4,000,000 South Sudanese Pounds (SSP) to be divided equally between the two counties.

This is her second contribution in a day, following a 2,000,000 SSP donation to Tonj East earlier. The funds are intended to support players in their competitions for the Bahr el Ghazal Counties league (BCL) in Juba.

Yesterday, at the celebration of the Awulian community's acceptance (Agam) by the Wut Nook of Pakeer community, the female journalist was noticed.

The female journalist informed our boss that, for the previous two months, she had traveled from the State solely to see the most well-known girl in Africa.
