LET GO BEFORE NIGHT FALL.
I love cooking and am a good cook. When I was unmarried, I prepared a pot of delicious porridge beans, but due to my tight schedule I couldn't eat all. I left some in the pot and hoped to warm it but failed to do so because I was behind schedule and had to work all through the night. The next morning, on opening the kitchen door the offensive stench from the kitchen hit me with a bang. The beans got sour.
Beloved, see, when issues are left unattended to, gradually it begins to deteriorate. What a simple "Sorry", "Please" would have done, had led to an irreconcilable difference. Many opportunities, business openings, relationships, marriages have crumbled because they left simple issues to last longer than the night. Just like the pot of beans, the longer it is left, the worse it becomes. Scriptures admonishes that: In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold- Ephesians 4:26-27.
Many gave the devil a foothold in that matter and he took the whole ground. The devil practically understands the verse "Wherever you step your foot, you will posses". In that small quarrel, disagreement, dispute, problem, issue or matter do not give him a foothold. Many are in pains, regrets, had I known because of this costly mistake.
Today, look into yourself and around you, where and where are you to apologize but was left unattended to because of anger, pride, human ego, and the rest. No matter how right anger points it, it will never be as good as love. That family, relationship, marriage, business opportunity can come back to life and be reunited again if the foothold of the devil is removed.
Be quick to let go as Christ could do. Apologising does not make you weak but better. Avoid every avenue that gives the devil a foothold. A simple apology can save a whole generation.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like onto yours.
