Welcome to the first book of the Crescent City Series by Sarah J. Maas!

This week we are covering chapters 63 through 65!

While Bryce is at work, Ruhn is caring for Hunt. She finally logs into Danika's account for Redner Industries and finds some clues that leads her to a flashdrive hidden in Danika's jacket. The videos on the flashdrive are of subjects getting injected with synth and Bryce determines whoever killed Danika, was on synth. Bryce and Hunt have a heated moment, but Hunt is in so much pain, they have to call a medwitch. Later Bryce heads to her apartment to look for clues, but it's on fire. She meets up with Tharion because someone is selling synth on a boat! No surprise, the Viper Queen is behind it....and so is Hunt!

This week we are covering chapters 60 through 62!

It’s Danika’s birthday and while Bryce just wanted a small memorial for her friend, someone (cough! Amelie Ravenscroft) ruined it for her. Hunt pulls a big NO NO and goes after her. Bryce finally heads to the medwitch to get the kristallos venom out and they watch the effects it has on the synth. Micah summons them to his office and punishes Hunt in front of them all!

Welcome to the first book of the Crescent City Series by Sarah J. Maas!

This week we are covering chapters 57 through 59! Bryce and Hunt have a post "meeting the family" debrief. They decide that they are officially "friends." How nice. They hit up the meat market the next day to try and score some synth, but nobody is talking. They meet up with Tharion and he tells her that Danika was seen on a boat with a shipment of synth! Bryce obviously doesn't believe that Danika would have any part of dealing/taking synth. She reaches out to Fury and Ruhn to try to get some answers.

Our WOW is 14 Hands Red Blend that Ahsoka is showing off for us. We will continue to showcase our furbabes with our wine of the week through August!

Welcome to the first book of the Crescent City Series by Sarah J. Maas!

This week we are covering chapters 54 through 56! This episode is full of drama! Michah has called Hunt into his office and calls him out on testing old evidence. He tells Hunt that Sandriel has been offering to buy him back and to get the job done. He gives Hunt a new list of people to kill for him. Hunt gets back to Bryce's house and he's a MESS, but Bryce takes care of him. They almost hook up! We find out that Danika's clothes had Synth all over them. Hunt and Bryce video chat with her parents and we can now understand why Bryce is the way that she is.

This week we are covering chapters 50 through 53! In these chapters we get lots of info on the newest drug, Synth. It's synthetic magic and it's NO GOOD. Ruhn talks to Bryce & Hunt about the starsword and it's corresponding knife that is missing and they inform him about Danika and the horn. Bryce summons a demon without Hunt's knowledge and the interaction is super cryptic but also somewhat helpful. After attempting to cuss out the Autumn King, Bryce ends up in a bar drinking her feelings away. The teams gets Danika's clothes re-tested by Fae technology to try to gather more intel.

This week we are covering chapters 46 through 49! Hunt is victorious against the Kristallos and discovers that it's venom nullifies powers. Micah wants none of this information to get out into the public. Our secret medwitch has some information she thinks Ruhn will find interesting and asks him to swing by the clinic. Back at the apartment, Bryce and Hunt have a moment but it's interupted by Sabine! Sabine tells them she edited the footage to protect Danika, because Danika is the one who stole the horn. Bryce refuses to believe it and Sabine leaves but not before threatening Bryce's life.

1st Crescent City novel, House of Earth and Blood, by Sarah J. Maas!

This week we are covering chapters 43 through 45! Bryce and Hunt head into Moonwood to talk to the Prime, so they chat with Sabine, who is just a pleasure BUT they catch her in a lie. On their way out of Moonwood, they have a conversation with Ethan. Bryce gives Hunt her history with Connor and the wolves and her own personal issues after Danika passed away. Hunt tries to go out for a drink with the Triarri and Bryce promises to behave....but of course she leaves the house. Hunt follows Bryce and during a moment of sexual tension, a kristallos attacks.

1st Crescent City novel, House of Earth and Blood, by Sarah J. Maas!

This week we are covering chapters 40 through 42! Vik has found footage of the Kristallos. This gives Bryce some flashbacks and Hunt is very comforting. Both of his friends warn him of the dangers of getting involved with our favorite red head. Bryce and Hunt head to Five Roses to investigage and Hunt has a realization that maybe the kristallos is in the sewer system. He decides they need to contact someone from the Istros River. We meet Tharion, a mer, who says he will keep in touch if he here's anything. We end these chapters with some SERIOUS sexual tension and the decision to talk to Sabine.

Ok, if this is going to take over the internet, we might as well jump on it! Introducting our CoW (cocktail of the week), we present the "Hawk Tuah...Spit on that Thang." It is the most appropriate drink we've ever done for this podcast 😂 🍌

This week we are covering chapters 37 through 39! We are off to another crime scene. Turns out, it's another person that was there the night the horn was stolen. Bryce makes the discovery that all of the murders happening are on top of powerful ley lines, which makes demon summoning easier. Declan makes a discovery: Sabine may have altered video and audio footage from the night of Danika's murder. Ruhn meets up with a medwitch to discuss how one could restore the powers of Luna's Horn and maybe there's a bit of a crush developing???

We are back to CoWs (cocktail of the week) for the month of July! To celebrate independence day, we have a nice little red & blue drink (man I'm struggling with layering drinks 🤦‍♀️) that we're calling "Mating Bond Fireworks" 🎆

This week we are covering chapters 34 through 36! Hunt gives Ruhn and Bryce all the info on what the oracle said. We get the deets on what happened when Bryce visited the oracle and its...not great. We meet up with Phillip Briggs and that dude is CrAyZy. Bryce meets up with her brother/cousin and friends and they show each other how well they can shoot guns? Odd.

This week we are covering chapters 31 through 33! Bryce saves Hunt from Sandriel in the most Bryce-like way, while also denying Micah, the Archangel, a date. Later on, Hunt is called in by Micah to complete a "job" but Bryce records the sunball game for him to watch when he gets home, and it's giving....relationship. Hunt finally visits the Oracle for information on Luna's horn and we find out it both opens and closes doors to other worlds!

This week we are covering chapters 28 through 30! Juniper and Bryce have a little chat and start to heal their friendship (chocolate croissants help the conversation flow). Later, on her way to work, Bryce and the Umbra Mortis have a heart to heart about people on their sh*t list and it seems like they may actually become friends. They meet Ruhn at Griffin Antiquities where we get some insight on Danika's last days as well as background on Starborn powers. We end these chapters with some more Bryce & Hunt friendship, but Sandriel just has to ruin everything...

This week we are covering chapters 25-through 27! Bryce is running and running until she finds herself at the White Raven. She sees Juniper there. Hunt has followed her and now realises she doesn't drink anymore. All of a sudden a literal bomb goes off at the club. Bryce shields Juniper's body. Juniper is NOT happy since she made the drop and Bryce hasn't. We later find out human rebels set off the bomb, but theres a rebel symbol of the horn? How does this all relate? We end our chapters with details about why Bryce hasn't made the drop yet. We get a bit of a heart to heart between Bryce and Hunt here.

This week we are covering chapters 22 through 24! We get some inside details about Ruhn and Bryce's fight, and what Ruhn called her (hard to come back from that one). What happens next? Well there's been another MURDER! An acolyte from Luna's temple. This only makes it all more complicated. Not only that, we finally learn about the identity of the Angel Bryce saved. Micah himself.

This week we are covering chapters 19 through 21! The meeting with the Viper Queen goes surprisingly better than anticipated. We're starting to catch on that Bryce always has a plan and is smarter than we gave her credit for. Hunt finally meets Lehabah and she is smitten. Bryce has to start digging deep into Danika's last few days and it's starting to hurt. Ruhn reaches out to meet with Bryce about Lunas's Horn and we learn about the demon that attacked Micah, the archangel.

For the month of May, we're doing a "Cocktail of the Week"....a COW 🐮 if you will 🤣This week we made a Cauldron Boil me (in rum & coke).

This week we are covering chapters 16 through 18! We learn more about Ruhn and his crew. He informs us that the Viper Queen is up to some shady s**t. Bryce informs Hunt that she actually has been working this whole time and isn't just acting like the "party princess" everyone thinks she is. Bryce and Hunt visit the meat market and she buys some black salt...aka, she's up to no good. The Viper Queen meets up with them while they try to leave.

For the month of May, we're doing a "Cocktail of the Week"....a COW 🐮 if you will 🤣This week we made a Starfall ball gin & tonic. Sam may have enjoyed it too much...

This week we are covering chapters 14 through 15! We finally get a mini deep dive into Ruhn, Bryce's "cousin" and his garbarge father, The Autumn King. The Autumn king wants Ruhn to marry the newly appointed witch, Hypaxia to ensure they have strong alliances and also order Ruhn to find Luna's Horn in case there's an upcoming war. Hunt is less than thrilled to be watching the "party princess" and she does not make it easy on him.

For the month of May, we're doing a "Cocktail of the Week"....a COW 🐮 if you will 🤣This week, just after Cinco de Mayo, we have a Salty Watermelon MORgarita, straight from Rita's!
