starting your weight loss journey can be daunting and overwhelming…
instead of looking at long term goals and dreams, start by taking it one day at a time. make small, daily achievable goals.
here are the 3 main things it takes for a successful weight loss:
MOTIVATION: hang up a picture or quotes that motivate you. remember your “why”. why do you want to make these changes? why are u starting this journey?
DEDICATION: set a small goal and stick to it. maybe it’s adding more fruits and veggies to your plate each day, maybe it’s sticking to your plan to go to the gym after work. whatever your small goal is… stick to it every day. we all slip up and miss days, the important thing is to release feelings of guilt, and just pick back up the next day.
SACRIFICE: this is major!! if the things you’re doing every day aren’t working for you, you need to either start adding or subtracting those daily habits. I set a lot of boundaries and sacrifices for myself during my weight loss journey. this looks like: saying no to going out and drinking with friends, staying home and cooking instead of eating out, missing out on events and sticking to my gym schedule
