Throughout the early morning hours, Paul (VE3GRW), Frank (VA3FJJ) and Brandon (VA3UEC) were on the repeater knocking some stuff off the to-do lists. The phone patch has officially entered the BETA testing stages on the VE3GRW repeater, and deviation has been adjusted for the remote base!

The The Niagara Parks Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for vandalizing the ‘Floral Clock’ Thursday (10/27/2022) evening. Reportedly masonry work was tipped over and broken. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara.

We would like to take a minute and extend our sincerest thank you to all of our communication volunteers that came out today to help with the Niagara Falls 5k, 10k, Half, International Marathon & Relay.

We were able to successfully communicate with each other, liaison with The Niagara Parks Police Service and Niagara EMS too!

The marathon organizers are extremely happy with the service that we were able to provide, and I have let them know anytime they need us, we would LOVE to come back and help.

Lastly to the guys who came in from out of town… Hamza (VA3ANU), Nasir (VE3POQ), VE3QAD, Syed Muhammad Amin (VE3EQL)… thank you for travelling down here to participate. I hope you guys enjoyed your time, and we are absolutely honoured to have you. Feel free to come back ANYTIME!

The months of planning, coordinating, meetings and testing are officially over. It’s officially race day for the Niagara Falls 5k, 10k, Half, International Marathon & Relay! Our net controller today will be Brandon Williamson (VA3UEC). We will see you guys in just a few hours! 😜
