🚨Our final milestone for the St Jude PLAY LIVE charity event has been completed!!🎉🎊 (Long post ahead)
Thank you to this amazing community y’all have helped build and support. I’m truly baffled by all of the generosity and love you guys have shown and I truly can’t thank you enough.❤️🙏
As you guys know I’m a cancer survivor that battled late stage choriocarcinoma that had spread into my lungs back in 2017. During chemotherapy I struggled with keeping any sort of positivity. That is, until I first discovered what streaming was and began watching a couple of streamers here at Facebook Gaming.
The communities and streams themselves became the distraction I needed and I watched them every single day to find joy. After that my overall mindset improved drastically and I was able to face this demon of cancer with actual confidence. And because of that, I decided I wanted to try to stream to help capture that positivity and love for others, the same way these other streamers brought me back in my darkest hours.
Fast forward to present day and I was given the invitation by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to do help take part in the PLAY LIVE event and there was no way I could turn that down. It honestly felt like my final step of mentally healing from those demons in 2017.
So I made this final milestone be $1500 because that’s the coverage needed for a day of chemotherapy, the very thing that introduced me to this journey I’m still on. And because of you guys we were able to make it to that point.
It truly feels like everything has come full circle, and it means the world to me. Thank you everyone, much love🙏🙏
