The wife of the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Seun cries out

I have endured physical abuse, emotional and mental torture from my husband

Mrs Seun recounted her experience at the hands of her husband, stating that he had constantly beaten her up and left her battered

Mrs Seun Aiyedatiwa, the wife of Ondo State Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has alleged that she suffered constant beatings, humiliation and torture from her husband.

She also stated that her husband lied in his response to allegations of domestic violence levelled against him.

A women’s group Society for Women Empowerment (SWE) first went public with the allegation, threatening to protest if Ayedatiwa does not make a public apology to his wife.

But Mr Aiyedatiwa denied the allegation, stating that it was “political blackmail taken too far”.

However, in a statement on Thursday reportedly sent from London and shared by Qed.ng titled, “My ordeal at the hands of Lucky,” Mrs Aiyedatiwa said that although she does not know the true intentions of the women’s group she would speak out for the sake of other women.

Let’s read her:

She said, “Prior to Lucky’s appointment as the deputy governor, we had ongoing issues revolving around abusive behaviour. Each time, he would apologize, often attributing his actions to alcohol. Our children have witnessed this on two occasions. They implored me to have him arrested, but I explained that Nigerian culture does not provide room for such measures.

“I am not happy about revealing my personal struggles publicly. It is a painful reality I must confront. I have reached the conclusion that concerted efforts must be made to eradicate the scourge of violence against women. I have endured physical, emotional, and mental abuse from my husband—beatings, torture, and constant mistreatment.

“On December 1, 2022, during a minor argument, I experienced one of the most severe beatings of my life at the hands of my husband. I was left bruised and battered, to the extent th

Emefiele suspended over $1billion transaction allegedly linked to Dangote

BY POLITICS NIGERIA

In a shocking development, the Nigerian Federal Government has suspended the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele. Sources reveal that Emefiele was arrested in Lagos by the Department of State Services (DSS) on June 10 and flown to Abuja for questioning which the security agency has now confirmed.

The suspension is reportedly tied to a staggering $1 billion scandal that unfolded just before the Presidential inauguration.

This newspaper learned that Suspicions arose after Emefiele’s borrowing of $1 billion from Afrexim Bank on April 24, 2023 after the elections, during preparations for the May 29 inauguration.

Shockingly, within two days of receiving the money, $750 million was swiftly transferred to Aliko Dangote’s Dubai accounts using a ‘Form A’.

It is alleged that the President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was kept in the dark about this transaction.

Sources within the CBN claim that Emefiele sold dollars to Dangote at an unbelievably low rate of 445 Naira to the dollar. 1 billion dollars was received from Afrexim Bank into the CBN’s JP Morgan account on April 24, 2023, out of which 750 million dollars was immediately transferred to Dangote’s Bluestar Dubai account within two days using the “Form A” transaction method, bypassing the requirement of a Letter of Credit.

Bluestar has had ties to Dangote since 2007.

While some CBN officials raised concerns about these transactions, the revelation highlights the potential for money laundering and illicit activities within Nigeria’s financial system, tarnishing the CBN’s integrity under Emefiele’s leadership.

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the President took decisive action by suspending Emefiele and ordering a thorough investigation.

OUTRAGE, ANGER OVER GOV. ALIA'S MASS SACK OF OVER 25,000 CIVIL SERVANTS IN BENUE

10th June, 2023 | 8:03 AM

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State recently ignited a firestorm of controversy and discontent with his decision to terminate the employment of over 25,000 civil servants.

The move, which also included the reversal of promotions to the rank of Permanent Secretary made by the previous administration, has been met with widespread criticism and accusations of vindictiveness.

Many affected civil servants and political figures are demanding a reversal of the directive, highlighting the need for a fair and thorough investigation into the employment process.

Governor Alia’s decision to terminate the employment of thousands of civil servants without proper investigation or due process has left many feeling betrayed and disheartened. The affected individuals argue that they were lawfully employed by the previous administration and therefore deserve fair treatment. The governor’s actions have been described as wicked, callous, and unbecoming of someone who claims to be a cleric, as pointed out by Isaac Ogwuche, one of the affected workers.

One of the key issues that have fueled anger and frustration is the lack of transparency surrounding the employment process. Many civil servants claim that they went through the appropriate channels and fulfilled all necessary requirements to secure their positions. They argue that it is unjust to lay them off without conducting an investigation into the circumstances under which they were employed. This lack of transparency has further eroded trust in the government and fueled accusations of political vendetta.

In response to the mass layoffs, there have been calls from various quarters for Governor Alia to reconsider his decision and reinstate the affected civil servants. Acting State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Isaac Mffo, condemned the governor’s actions as unacceptable and demanded a rev
