Meet Temi of a children's toy brand bringing diversity to play.

A business started to address her own issues with identity growing up as a black kid. She wanted to make sure her children and by extension all other black/brown children do not go through that same experience.

At Black Girl Maker, we amplify the work and by extension the voice of the black woman entrepreneur.

We believe in the women who create magic despite all odds.

We believe the colour of ones skin or their gender should not be a barrier to starting and growing a successful business.

We believe in equity, yes equity and not equality. We believe those who have long been ignored, overlook, under funded and under represented should now be seen and heard and supported and funded ........

We believe the time has always been right for good to be done.

We believe in all entrepreneurs, we believe in all women but we believe so much more in the black and ethnic minority woman entrepreneur, not out of favouritism or bias but based on the history, the records, the statistics, the journey, their impact

As our website goes live this Friday, we believe this small step will open the door to a major shift and transformation and conversation about our women, about our Black Girl Maker and our platform will serve as a space of learning from their stories thereby hearing their voice.
