STRIKETHROUGH plays “777” by Bruno Mars for their opening song, which group member and senior Yunseo Choi said was her favorite part of the set. Junior Yalie Amram played the keyboard while Choi and seniors Dora Ung and Luke Atienza supplemented the performance with guitar. Junior Abella Paniagua sang and senior Ken Yasuda provided the base of the song by accompanying on the drums.

Lawn chairs, shrimp gumbo and picnic blankets are strewn across the amphitheater as hanging lights pulse over a band in perfect unison. The inflatable dome sways as each musician takes turns improvising — some relaxed, some passionate and others completely dialed in. The director makes a playful quip and the entire audience good-naturedly laughs.
