Ginger Parodies is the brainchild of Scottish singer/songwriter, parodist and general smart arse Andrew Durning. Known more for making a fool of himself, he wrote some humorous and serious parody songs about his own unique outlook on the world.
His first self titled album was released in 2016 to raise money for Shining Stars ASN Theatre School and, after mixed reviews and two HORRIBLE gigs, he hung up the mic and the story ended... or did it?
Though the music stopped the writing did not and as time went on, there was a demand by a whole 3 people for more. However, a lack of confidence and a series of mental health issues prevented this ridiculed and discredited artist returning to the world of scary and mean people. So, with nothing to loose he asked, and bribed, fellow artists to sing some songs for him.
The second album, aptly titled “He Brought Back Up”, was recorded in March 2020 and, one day, will be released to raise funds for charity.
