Washington County - Eastbound Union Pacific train developed engine issues on both units earlier this evening and is stalled out on Arlington Hill. At last word over the scanners they are almost ready to move the train West down the hill into the siding west of Arlington.

Fort Calhoun Rescue Call to Hwy 75 @ Miller Ranch Lane for a three vehicle crash. Rescue on scene, establishing command, second squad on the way. Units on the scene will handle.

Missing from Crofton. NE;

Holden Duncan was last seen on October 21, 2024 by the Crofton High School at approx 4:15 P.M. He was reported missing to the Knox County Sheriffs Office at 9:50 P.M.

Holden is 12 years old, with sandy brown hair. He’s 4’3” and approx 80 lb. He was last seen wearing Black long sleeve UnderArmor shirt, Black Sweatpants, Black Nike with white swoosh shoes. He also wears glasses.

A search was conducted on the night of October 21 into early morning hours of October 22. The search continued again after sunup on October 22.
Crofton Fire and Rescue along with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska Game & Parks Commission, Nebraska State Patrol, Yankton County Search and Rescue, Bloomfield & Lindy Fire and Rescue, and others coordinated a search of the City of Crofton and the surrounding countryside on foot and in the air utilizing drones and a helicopter.

If anyone has seen Holden please call the Knox County Sheriffs Office at 402-288-4261.

Bennington Fire Call to 1439 Hwy 133 for a fire.

Bennington advising a small pile of logs on fire, they will handle.

All Dodge County Fire Agencies Call to the area of County Road "G" at Wheatley Rd, for a large grass fire. Manpower, Tankers, and Grass Rigs. Fire is in the area of Logan View School.

Arlington 520 & 541 are being redirected from the fire near Herman to this fire. Herman Fire unit has been cleared and is also on the way.

Fire agencies will be using Mil Tac.

Waverly Fire also responding.

Ceresco Fire now responding.

Update: Units that are more than 10 minutes out can return to service / station.

Cedar Bluffs can cancel, Mead and Yutan will handle.

Herman Fire Call & Blair Fire Dual response to the area of Hwy 75 at County Road P4 for a field fire.

Tekamah Fire unable to respond, they are out on a fire with Decatur Fire.

Update: Tekamah Fire has cleared from their call, they are responding and will be coming down County Road AB in case the fire jumps the creek into Burt County.

Fire Car One arriving advising a large field fire, requesting additional resources.

Fort Calhoun Fire Call, Kennard Fire Call, mutual aid for manpower and tankers.

Tekamah Fire reporting fire has jumped the creek into Burt County, additional resources have been called out.

Command is directing Herman and Fort Calhoun to respond to County Road "AB" in Burt County to assist with the fire.

Arlington Fire Call & Craig Fire Call for grass trucks and tankers.

At this point all Washington County departments are on this call.

Oakland Fire is responding.

Arlington Fire 520 & 541 have been redirected to the Dodge County Fire near Logan View School, as well as a Herman Fire unit that has been cleared from this scene.

Red Flag Warning will continue on Thursday from 11am until 7pm.

The Fremont Fire Department would like to remind residents, that Section 7-204 of the Municipal Code prohibits the use of outdoor fireplaces when winds are blowing over ten (10) mph. This includes portable fire pits, chimineas, and fire rings.
