Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was established in 1991, KOICA global Village and K-ODA were opened in 2010 to maximize the impact of Korea's ODA (Official Development Assistance), and is supporting four regions: Asia Pacific, Africa, Central and South America and the Middle East (58 countries in the world and 14 international organizations) to reduce poverty and share the unique experience of socio-economic development that the Republic of Korea has. , as a cooperation agency, seeks to more efficiently and effectively meet its objectives: reducing poverty and improving the quality of life, improving the human rights of women, children and people with disabilities, realizing gender equality, sustainability in development, humanitarianism, advancing economic cooperation and companionship with partner countries while contributing to peace and prosperity within the international community.
K-ODA includes all the financial and technical support provided by the government of the Republic of Korea, in order to help the development of partner countries and improve the quality of life of the people who live in them. The experience of generating evidence and objective information, through a constant and well-structured practice of learned lessons that encourage successful practices and avoid those that encourage failure; this is allowing to improve the capacities of -ODA and partner countries in decision-making based on the evidence generated, the interest is to establish what works, why and in what context and situation, the knowledge generated has a global use , which makes it possible to determine the merit or value of an initiative and its quality in accountability. #코이카 #위코
