A road rage altercation escalated into a firearm threat in a parking lot near Worth Ave in Woodbridge. The incident began near Prince William Parkway and Shoppers Best Way, where a 64-year-old man and another driver became involved in a dispute.

The confrontation continued into a parking lot, where the suspect brandished a firearm before leaving the scene. Fortunately, no shots were fired, and there were no injuries. Police traced the vehicle’s license plate and arrested the suspect without incident.

Following a weeks-long investigation, authorities have arrested a Dumfries man for inappropriate contact with a minor. On September 9, a girl between 15 and 17 was walking in Woodbridge when she was approached by a man in a vehicle who offered her a ride.

The man and minor exchanged phone numbers and allegedly continued communication for about a month, during which the man sent inappropriate messages and arranged multiple in-person meetings involving unlawful acts.

A commercial burglary occurred early Thursday morning at the To***co Hut on Dale Blvd in Woodbridge. Officers responded to an alarm and discovered the front window shattered.

Video surveillance revealed four masked male suspects, believed to be in their late teens, entered the store, stole merchandise and a cash register, and fled the scene in a vehicle. The suspects were gone before police arrived, and the investigation remains ongoing.

A deadly shooting outside the Alamo Drafthouse at Stonebridge in Woodbridge has resulted in three arrests, following an intensive investigation by Prince William County detectives and multiple federal and local agencies.

On October 2, officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. A 21-year-old man had been shot multiple times and later died from his injuries, while an 18-year-old male acquaintance was grazed in the lower body but survived.

Authorities identified the suspects as Shawki Saah Fofanah, 23, of Dumfries; George Kwasi Attakora, 22, of Stafford; and Musa Abraham Sesay, 25, of Dumfries. Fofanah was apprehended in Surprise, Arizona, while Attakora and Sesay were arrested locally in Stafford and Washington, D.C. Search warrants were executed in Dumfries, Stafford, D.C., and Arizona as part of the operation.

Arrests:

Shawki Saah Fofanah: Charged with 2nd-degree murder, malicious wounding, and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

George Kwasi Attakora: Charged as a principal in the 2nd degree.

Musa Abraham Sesay: Charged as an accessory before the fact.

All suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues.

Officers responded to an alarm and discovered that the store’s front glass door had been shattered. Surveillance footage and initial findings indicate three masked male suspects entered the store and grabbed various merchandise, damaging two cash registers in the process. They fled in a dark-colored sedan driven by a fourth suspect. Several boxes of products were stolen, and the case remains under investigation.

A tragic crash in Bristow claimed the life of a 19-year-old motorcyclist on the evening of November 1. According to the Prince William County Police Department, the young man was riding a 2004 Kawasaki ZX-6R southbound on Nokesville Rd at a high rate of speed. When a police officer attempted to stop him using emergency equipment, the rider turned off his lights and accelerated.

As the motorcycle approached Linton Hall Rd, it collided with a 2024 Nissan Sentra making a right turn on red. The motorcyclist was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Nissan, a 50-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries. Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward with information.

A 13-year-old boy suffered serious injuries during a brutal robbery that occurred following a football game at Benton Middle School. According to police, three juveniles approached the victim, and after a brief conversation, one suspect struck him from behind, knocking him to the ground. The group then stole the victim’s shoes.

An off-duty Virginia State Trooper witnessed the attack and was able to detain one of the suspects. The other two, described as teenagers wearing ski-style masks, fled the scene. A police K-9 unit was deployed but was unable to locate the remaining suspects.

The detained suspect, a 14-year-old male from Manassas, was arrested and charged with aggravated malicious wounding, robbery, and assault by mob. He is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center. Authorities are seeking additional witnesses or video footage from the evening of the football game.
