MORE DETAILS ON AU PAIR PLEA DEAL🚨: Last week, Brazilian au pair Juliana Peres Magalhaes accepted a plea deal and agreed to cooperate in Fairfax County's double-murder case against her former lover and employer, Brendan Banfield. Magalhaes was initially charged with murder (Count 1) and use of a firearm in a felony (Count 2), with her trial set for this month. In the plea, Count 1 was reduced to manslaughter (to which she pled guilty), while Count 2 was dropped entirely.

While the District Attorney’s Office hasn’t disclosed all details, it was revealed that Magalhaes admitted to shooting Joseph Ryan on Banfield’s orders and that Banfield himself stabbed his wife, Christine. Magalhaes stated she "did not want to go through" with the plot but felt forced into it. Her sentencing is set for March 21, 2025, but if Banfield is convicted, there's speculation she may receive time served and be released (Manslaughter is 1-10 years in Virginia)
