Huge shout out to Lifehouse Church in Virginia Beach for collecting all sorts of food and supplies to donate to the Food Bank. There's still a lot of people struggling to get by these days and it's awesome to see groups like this step up and help the community.

James City County Parks and Recreation has begun organizing virtual programs for all of us stuck at home. Their website has all sorts of ideas and resources to keep yourself and others engaged. This package just highlights one of the ways JCC Parks and Rec is thinking outside the box for the community.

Playgrounds, skate parks, basketball and volleyball courts are all being closed to help people not gather in groups and abide by social distancing recomendations.

A lot of parks around the area look like this. Closed signs,yellow tape and barricades to keep people away from public places. The parks aren't completely closed, there's plenty of people using the trails and fields.

Crazy times we're living in.

Also I feel bad for the kid that left his helmet inside the skate park. Good luck getting that back anytime soon.

Glad I’m still able to work but this past week has been like nothing before. I’m helping Ashley Smith anchor for 13News Now Daybreak from her home. Neither of us thought we’d ever do something like this but we’re making it work.

Also, I’ve had to do a lot of Skype interviews which has been challenging but also fun just trying to keep it interesting and creative
