It doesn't take very long to get caught up in the day and fall behind as a mom. This can lead to stress and overwhelm and sometimes even depression.
Here is a list of a few simple yet important tips that you can use in your day to see immediate results in your overall well-being.
1. Stay Organized.
-Use a planner or be diligent with the calendar on your phone. If you need to add your to-do list and split it up by days, do it! Keep your priorities straight and don't feel guilty saying no when your day is already looking too full.
2. Move Your Body Daily
-Aim for minimum 20 minutes. This doesn't have to be super intense. If nothing else, get outside and walk for 20 mins (while you walk try looking at far away things).
3. Stay Hydrated
-My mom always told me water fixed everything, and she was right! Well maybe not everything, but a lot of things for sure! Make sure you stay hydrated (and are drinking the right water - I love my electrolyzed reduced water, and once you learn about water with molecular hydrogen you won't go back...ever).
4. Meditate Daily
-This only needs to be for a few minutes. If you can set aside 10 mins a day for meditation, to slow down and get perspective that will help you get through the chaotic days.
5. Ask for Help/Delegate
-Find a village. If you don't have one - find a moms group to join. We are not meant to do this alone, and asking for support is one of the best things you can do for you and your family. Do not feel you need to do everything all the time.
6. Get Plenty of Sleep
-It can be hard as a mom, but do the best you can to get as good of a night's sleep as possible. Turn off screens an hour before bed if you can as well.
Try these simple tips consistently and see how much more elevated your life gets. If it is too overwhelming to introduce them all at once then start slow and add on. But do SOMETHING, anything, so that you are taking care of yourself a little more today.
