"Imagine if you could open your eyes to see only the good in every person, the positive in every circumstance, and the opportunity in every challenge." ~ Rabbi M.M. Schneerson

Why are you afraid? Why do you panic?

Eagerly and with purpose, your soul plunged downward to live in an earthly realm,
to enwrap herself in a body of flesh and blood.

What emboldened her? What drew her to squeeze her unbounded light
into the straitjacket of time and space?

It was neither fear, nor dread, nor panic.
It was the knowledge that here below is found beauty the highest of angels cannot touch.

Care for yourself, for your family, for your fellow human beings and our lovely planet earth, not out of fear, not from distress—

—but out of love and awe for the beauty found within all these things, the magnificence we came to this world to uncover.

"A true leader does not seek followers, he wants to teach others how to be leaders. He does not want control, he wants the truth. He does not impose his leadership on others, nor does he take away anyone's autonomy. He inspires by love, not coercion. When it comes time to take credit, he makes himself invisible; but he is the first to arrive at the time of need, and he will never shrink away in fear. He is so passionate about your welfare that when you consult him for guidance, it is like coming face to face with yourself for the first time."

"Gifted souls enter this world and shine. All that surround them bathe in their light and their beauty. And when they are gone, their light is missed.

Challenged souls enter, stumble and fall. They pick themselves up and fall again. Eventually, they climb to a higher tier, where more stumbling blocks await them. Their accomplishments often go unnoticed—although their stumbling is obvious to all.

But by the time they leave, new paths have been forged, obstacles levelled, and life itself has gained a new clarity for all those yet to enter.

Both are pure souls, of the essence of the divine. But while the gifted shine their light from Above, the challenged meet the enemy on its own ground. Any real change in this world is only on their account."

They have banished G‑d into exile.

They have decreed He is too holy, too transcendent to belong in our world.

They have determined He does not belong within the ordinary, in the daily run of things.

And so they have driven Him out of His garden, to the realm of prayer and meditation, to the sanctuaries and the secluded places of hermits. They have sentenced the Creator to exile, and His creation they have locked in a dark, cold prison.

And He pleads, “Let me come back to My garden, to the place in which I found delight when it all began.”

Before you scold a child, stop and think of who this is and where you stand.

This is a child of the Creator of the Universe.

And you stand before Him, scolding His child."

"Forgiveness is not a matter of exonerating people who have hurt you. They may not deserve exoneration. Forgiveness means cleansing your soul of the bitterness of ‘what might have been,’ ‘what should have been,’ and ‘what didn’t have to happen.’ Someone has defined forgiveness as ‘giving up all hope of having had a better past.’ What’s past is past and there is little to be gained by dwelling on it. There are perhaps no sadder people then the men and women who have a grievance against the world because of something that happened years ago and have let that memory sour their view of life ever since.”

“Everything is determined…by forces over which we have no control. It is determined for the insect as well as for the star. Human beings, vegetables, or cosmic dust—we all dance to a mysterious tune, intoned in the distance by an invisible piper.”

Shabbat Shalom to all!
May it be peace for all!

Thinking and praying for all who's family and friends are not with them, especially those who are still missing, sick, wounded, and extra special to those who G-d forbid have lost family member or friends. May you find extra strength, comfort and hope in this Shabbat.

To support Israel and Israeli people means...
"liberal and progressive American politicians, individuals, and groups, Jewish and not, that have declared their intent to stand with Israel can also announce that they mean to stand with those trying to make Israel stand taller." It's not political. It's about rising above. It's about light.

There is a better way to support the Israeli people than unconditional support of its current government.

In 1967, Yosef fought in the Six Day War in defense of our country.

Today, at the age of 77, Yosef reported for duty in reserves with a uniform, a weapon and a message to you all:
"People of Israel, keep morale high and stay united. Trust me, we've been through tough wars, and we'll get through this one too.”
