: While most audio interfaces output sounds at 24bit,
most DAWs works internally at 32bit, so there are at least 2 reasons why it is better to export your projects at 32bit:

1: If you export at 24bit , you already truncating audio from 32bit if you don't use Dithering, or will add that white noise if you use any sort of dithering, so after mastering that noise will be even worse and evident, mostly in quiet parts of the track.

2: Exporting at 32bit can keep audio informations if the tune is
clipping on some part or entirely. If you clipping the tune, and exporting/rendering it in 32bit, all audio informations above
clipping can be recovered just lowering volume, managing the
tune with an audio software like Sound Forge, Audacity etc.
Viceversa, if the tune is exported at 24 or 16bit, this can't be done, aka all informations above clipping are lost 👍

Dark Impact Records statement about forthcoming DIR100 release

We started planning the infamous DIR100 release, that will be out approax on September/October. We thoughts keeping closed invitations only for artists that released on label previously, but we accept entries from new artists, both estabilished
and new talents, which is always been one of the main matter
of the label, aka pushing also new talents and induct them to the scene,
so we think is good staying on our roots also with this.

Deadline is around 1st August 2023
Genres fits better in , / ,
, , techno and derivates dark genres.
, -ish and dark are also allowed.

Can send your tune directly here dropping a message on DIR page,
contacting our manager Denis Pedruzzi
or sending a mail to [email protected]

including details about artist's name and own personal contact.

Tunes must be sent in WAV lossless format, 24 or 32bit (better).
Unmastered version, without compression/limiter/clipping on master bus is better,
but feel free to send also your own mastered one as well,
if sounds good, we can keep it.
Our official mastering service SM Audio Labs will take
carefully care about the mastering.
