For this episode of The Underground Assault Podcast I had UK artist Balrog on the show. Balrog is an artist from Leeds (UK) who has been steadily blowing up over the past few years. His music gravitates towards the darker and grittier side of industrial techno with a focus on heavy unrelenting drums, driving bass and obscure distorted vocal. His tracks look back to the classic hard and grooving Techno of the early 2000's, but with a fresh injection of modern industrial power. With multiple releases on labels including The Meaning Of Rave, C O U P, Green Fe**sh Records and Gobsmacked, Balrog has made a name for himself in the underground Techno scene. We sat him down and got him to spit the facts on such topics as his early influences, motivations behind founding Khazad Records, dealing with label problems, having his music supported by Dax J, Amelie Lens & Manni Dee, linking up with Rebekah, challenges as a producer during the pandemic and much more.
