Today 7D7D, comprised of Tim Commerford (bass), Mathias Wakrat (drums) and Jonny Polonsky (guitar), announce the release of a red vinyl limited edition 7" double A side featuring "Written on a Napkin" and "Insignia" - the third & fourth singles respectively - and of their debut live performance on May 5 at Alex's Bar in Long Beach, CA. Since releasing their debut single "Capitalism" on black Friday November 25, 2022, the trio has continued to put out powerful and confrontational songs. "Misinformed" was released on December 13, 2022 followed by "Written on a Napkin" on December 8th, 2023 and "Insignia" on February 9, 2024. All of these songs were recorded in Tim & Mathias' LA studio, while Jonny would add his parts from his NY based studio. With Jonny having recently relocated to Los Angeles the band began rehearsing and soon after booked their debut gig. Jonny explains, "We've been recording music for the last two or three years via email, but since my move from NYC to LA in January, we've been practicing pretty steadily. It feels really thrilling to be finally getting out there performing live for the people."

"It's exciting to finally hear these songs live, they sound way better than expected", added Mathias. "It's the most fun music project I've ever been a part of for sure."

Tim continued, "I'm proud to be a part of this artistic fighter jet that never stops teaching me. I'm Lucky to be with players like Mathias and Jonny. Plus, we're at war and I need to sing about it."

The band plan to continue to record and release new music, one single at a time - stay tuned!

It is my pleasure to debut from the power trio 7D7D (Tim Commerford, Mathias Wakrat & Jonny Polonsky) on my record label Mad Bunny.

I have always loved Tim’s music (Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave) and I was immediately taken by the virtuosity of Mathias’ drumming and Jonny’s guitar playing.

Three-piece bands this potent are rare and I hope you love their music as much as I do.

Congrats to The Volebeats Detroit on a great launch and breaking into the Top 30 NACC in the first week with their new release, "Lonesome Galaxy." The band celebrated with two shows in their hometown at Detroit's fabled art gallery/literary cafe/free jazz hotspot/underground cultural nexus Trinosophes and then saw them play on WDET's Ann Delisi’s Essential Music Program. They also had a wander through their hometown streets for a photo shoot with legendary photographer Leni Sinclair and stopped by Rain Phoenix's Launch Left for an interview with Rain and MBR's founder Ben Harper.
