The Fermi Paradox is a thought experiment that questions why the human race has never found proof of life anywhere but Earth. It is filled with a number of, at present, untestable assumptions that render it little more than food for thought in an idle mind.

Idling on said idea banquet, it occurred to me that if aliens had visited this planet several million years ago, the dominant beings would have been dinosaurs. I imagine that at some point, a conversation similar to the one below would have taken place, explaining why no intelligent beings have made contact with humanity.

Alien 1: It’s been a while since we’ve checked out Earth. Think we should go back?

Alien 2: You mean the planet of the giant Murder Lizards? No thanks.

Ten years or so ago, I took a vacation to Las Vegas. While I was there, I stopped into a magic shop that had on display a hot pink, full body gorilla suit. It looked to be about my size, and they only wanted $100 for it. I didn’t buy it, but on some days I regret that decision.

Today is one of those days.

Major historical events are generally incorporated into the art of their time. One need only look at films and music from the Vietnam era, the literature of the Civil War, or generally any expressions made during or immediately after the myriad of various other sea changes in human culture.

I find it odd, then, that, apart from TogetherAtHome YouTube videos, I have encountered no main stream art that incorporates social distancing.
