Dash Rip Rock shared an amazing story of Lou Reed:
"In 1995 we were playing Midfyns Festival in Europe and opening for Lou Reed. We found out that his chef who was from Mississippi was a Dash Rip Rock fan. Lou Reed was sitting in a private area. We asked the chef who asked the roadie who asked the road manager who asked the manager if we could meet him. The word came back-- Dash Rip Rock could could come say hello for 5 minutes.

We walked through a curtain. Lou was sitting down to eat. He asked us to have dinner with him.

“Why didn't you just come up and talk to me?” he said."
