Good morning Brothers and Sisters!

Need.

Psalms 42:1 As the deer longs for streams of water,
so I long for you, O GOD.
2 I thirst for GOD, the living GOD.
When can I go and stand before HIM?
3 Day and night I have only tears for food,
while my enemies continually taunt me, saying,
“Where is this GOD of yours?”
4 My heart is breaking
as I remember how it used to be:
I walked among the crowds of worshipers,
leading a great procession to the house of GOD,
singing for joy and giving thanks
amid the sound of a great celebration!
5 Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in GOD!
I will praise HIM again—
my SAVIOR and
6 my GOD!
Now I am deeply discouraged,
but I will remember YOU—
even from distant Mount Hermon, the source of the Jordan,
from the land of Mount Mizar.
7 I hear the tumult of the raging seas
as your waves and surging tides sweep over me.
8 But each day the LORD pours HIS unfailing LOVE upon me,
and through each night I sing HIS songs,
praying to GOD who gives me life.
9 “O GOD my ROCK,” I cry,
“Why have YOU forgotten me?
Why must I wander around in grief,
oppressed by my enemies?”
10 Their taunts break my bones.
They scoff, “Where is this GOD of yours?”
11 Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in GOD!
I will praise HIM again—
my SAVIOR and my GOD!

David’s passion for GOD is very evident in his style and leadership methods.

As a king, his physical, mental and spiritual enemies were many.

He was a man of war.

GOD placed him on the throne over Israel as their 2nd king.

His heart was always turned toward GOD for he knew the outcome of every decision, victory, joy and happiness came from one true source, the LORD.

His steadfastness in his core believes never allowed him to forget the greatness of GOD, always giving GOD the Glory for everything and not just leading the people to praise GOD, but also praising GOD on a personal private level.

The more the troubles pressed in and threatened to crush him the more he sought solace in the arms of GOD.

David’s greatness as a king was his relentless pursuit of GOD.

We too have physical enemies.

Maybe not people so much but time, bills, health issues, family matters, work and/or school, worries, marital problems, to name a few.

These are all enemies that come against us to direct our attention away from GOD.

You say, but those are just normal things that everyone has.

Yes but they also keep us from spending time with GOD.

We spend so much time trying to settle those problems daily that we set aside very little time to praise the LORD, giving HIM thanks for getting us through one more day showing us HIS merciful grace each day.

As David did, make it a sacrifice of time to GOD by setting time aside daily for a real ONE on one relationship with HIM.

Want victory in your life?

Just as the deer needs the water to replenish its strength, we need the LIVING WATER to replenish our strength.

Pant and chase after GOD as David did.

GOD never abandons us, we allow ourselves to become distracted.

Listening to the worries fears and doubts rather than listening for the still small voice that will lead us to victory over all issues.

Consulting GOD before making decisions will lessen the issues that will bring worries, fears and troubles later.

We need GOD every minute of every day.

Make JESUS your Door in ‘24!

JESUS Loves you and so do I!

Good morning Brothers and Sisters!

It starts in your heart.

Start your day with praise on your heart!

The first song I heard this morning has set the mood of my heart for this day GOD has placed before me.

“Raise a Hallelujah!”

A personal favorite.

No matter what my day will be like later, I know I can raise a Hallelujah from the depths of my heart and as those words pass my lips everything begins to change.

Psalms 19:14 May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to YOU,
O LORD, my ROCK and my REDEEMER.

When our hearts are right with GOD, our actions will be right as well.

Just about the only thing we are truly in control of is our attitude. And our attitude controls our reactions to elements outside of our lives.

I can be grumpy. I can speak curses.
I can be angry.
I can be dishonest or even downright mean.

Or

I can choose to handle my reactions to forces outside of my control by remaining in HIS Peace.

From the abundance in my heart my mouth will speak.

I must be mindful of what I allow in my heart.

Proverbs 4:23 Guard your heart above all else,
for it determines the course of your life.

I can have peace beyond the circumstances, I can operate in self-control, I can be joyful, I can love.

I am a child of GOD!

Psalms 39: I said to myself, “I will watch what I do
and not sin in what I say.
I will hold my tongue
when the ungodly are around me.”

We may not understand the importance of our words or the power in our tongue but GOD’s WORD does tell us clearly.

Proverbs 18:21 The tongue can bring death or life;
those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

Proverbs 21:23 Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut,
and you will stay out of trouble.

JESUS even tells us…

Matthew 12:37 “The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.”

GOD showed us the power our words can have by speaking everything in to existence.

By HIS WORD all things were created.
John 1:4

When we control our reactions then we take control over our tongue and it can no longer lead us astray, out of the Will of the FATHER.

Psalms 40:3 HE has given me a new song to sing,
a hymn of praise to our GOD.
Many will see what HE has done and be amazed.
They will put their trust in the LORD.

How many will come to find the LORD through your actions rather than your words?

Be the Light in the darkness.

Raise a HALLELUJAH!

JESUS is my Door in ‘24!

JESUS Loves you and so do I!
