Todey's Comparison of Fanon's Colonial Paper and Somali Region-
Frantz Fanon, a psychiatrist, wrote an essay " The Wretched of the Earth '' during the Algerian war of Independence. Fannon specialised in the area of mental health, and impact of colonialism argued that the pike of violence and public uprising is due to the colonial behaviors, attitudes and master working class and the leadership they force to the indigenous communities.
According to Fannon's Essay, the colonial world can be understood as " clash/encounter between two forces, settlers and native people. The product is violence, Fannon's paper critics as promoter of violence. while clearly indicated as decolonization struggle violence. Fanon stated that economic exploitations, displacements, rule of coloiser, privilege and power set up.
Somali-Regions people view today as a colonial regime with high risk and power at birth due to the attitudes and behaviors in Somali regions, and population displacement from the conflicts that are pouring to Jigjiga. Tensions are high, and religious groups are given high priority, this reminded many people of the past systemic oppression and kingdoms that existed in Ethiopia. It is undeniable, native nations feel waves of colonization knocking doors, debates of intellectual groups, and organizing events are going on, the regime training forces, and political dynamic relationship between Jigjiga-Bahir Dar suspiciously put in the place the administration has no majority voice of the native people.
Colonizations" Behaviors and Somali Debate
Natives of People in the SR feels as what Fannon described his paper as tool of occupation, colonisers are thus ‘committed to destroying the people’s originality’ by presenting cultural practices, which are ‘in fact the assertion of a distinct identity, concern with keeping intact a few shreds of national existence’, as ‘religious, magical, fanatical behaviour’ (Fanon, 2004: 43-44, 46).
