Giving up the need to be right about everything was one of the best lessons I’ve ever learned — and it’s not a lesson I learned because I was superficially holy. It was because I found things more important than that: fulfilling people and fulfilling relationships — people who listened to me and treated me with unconditional kindness and mercy. It’s because I have this love now, from God and from people, that I can do good and much better now. - Ryan Fan

As Matthew 6:1 goes: “Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, and for you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.”

From my heart! We want your marriage to work so please read these things and prayerfully practice them.
1. Relationships will expose your weakness. Your virtue will come to test; be humble to note where you need to sit up.
2. Make a habit of reflecting deeply. Always assess your own performance and ask yourself what you could do better.
3. Great partners are those who are never satisfied with how much they have given, they want to give more - that's love.
4. Look at your partner and realize that they deserve the best. Giving themselves to you is enough price paid.
5. Your partner took a chance with you. A risk you must not abuse; a trust you must hold with value. Make them happy
6. Learn to listen deep in quarrels. Forget the anger and pay attention to their core concern; in it usually are unspoken hurts and fears.
7. Wise people listen to the unspoken words of their partners. They can pick complain from conduct and adjust by observation.
8. Humility is the unspoken code of great partners. It is a considerate emotion that fosters peace as a core of life.
9. If you stay long enough in any relationship, you will realize that you can't go long enough without grace.
10. Your partner will need your prayers like fish needs water. In the long run, you are doing yourself a favour.
11. When you begin to feel like you are giving more in your marriage, thank God for making you a saviour, don't stop!
12. When satan takes on a spouse, God will gain an inroad to restore the home, if the other spouse can yield to Him.
13. Many persons whose homes you admire endured and overcame more hardships than the issues that makes you want to end yours.
14. Don't approach marriage like it will just work like that, approach it like a farmer: ready to till, plant, w**d and wait for harvest.
15. You have never done anything perfectly since you arrived earth, marriage won't be an exception, just give your best, it's better than perfect.
16. Fear will keep you away from achieving your potential in marriage. If it is good and desirable, make sure you attempt it.

6 essential ingredients for a lasting marriage.
The greatest of all ingredients for a lasting marriage is love, but there are 6 other qualities we need to have a happy, harmonious, lifelong marriage.

1. FAITHFULNESS
When we say our vows at the altar, we promise to be faithful to one another for as long as we live. Loyalty to our spouse is the foundation of trust in our marriage; when loyalty and faithfulness disappear, so does that trust. And once broken, trust is difficult to re-establish.

“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” – Mark 10:9 (New International Version)

2. HONOR
Merriam-Webster defines honor as “high respect; esteem.” It’s next-level respect, and as married couples, we’re meant to give the highest regard to one another. We show honor in the way we speak to each other, the way we behave, and the way we conduct ourselves both in and out of the home.

“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” – Romans 12:10 (NIV)

3. HUMILITY
Pride and arrogance have no place in a harmonious marriage; instead, we’re meant to be humble and unassuming; we shouldn’t jump to worst-case conclusions about one another, and we must always be ready to step up and admit when we’re wrong. Humility means not pushing our opinions on one another (even when we’re right), and giving our spouse the floor when we might really want it ourselves.

“With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” – Ephesians 4:2-3(NIV)

4. PATIENCE
It can be a challenge to be patient with one another, especially when it comes to the inevitable personality clashes we have with our spouses from time to time. But the scriptures urge us to exercise patience, and to show kindness when we’re feeling irritated with one another. It’s one of the many attributes that helps us keep the peace in our marriages.

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” – Ephesians 4:2 (NIV)

5. UNDERSTANDING
Because a marriage consists of two very different people merging their lives and creating a home together, it’s important for us to try to understand each other–especially when our spouse is hardest to understand. Practicing empathy–the art of stepping into your spouse’s shoes and seeing situations from his or her angle–will help you as you work daily to understand one another.

“In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together.” – 1 Peter 3:7 (NIV)

6. UNITY
In a marriage, husbands and wives are on the same team–two people who have chosen to be joined together as one. Unity doesn’t mean you have to agree on everything or have all the same preferences, likes, and dislikes; instead, it means sticking together in spite of your differences. It’s a conscious decision to work together to reach consensus, compromising when necessary as you make decisions together, both big and small.

“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” – Colossians 3:14 (NIV)

If you are not ready to date, please don’t.

I don’t mean, you’re tired of being single (because we all know that wait can get frustrating). I mean being spiritually, emotionally and even financially ready for a commitment.

Dating is dangerous if we aren’t ready. If you continue to date while you’re not ready, you’re setting yourself up for:
1. Sin
2. Confusion
3. A broken heart
4. Wasting your time
5. Missing out on who God is trying to present to you.

Jumping from person to person doesn’t lead you to “the one”. It actually prepares your heart for divorce because you’ve already mastered the art of leaving whenever you aren’t happy or the person upsets you.

Ask God to prepare you for what you’re praying for, so when He brings the person your way, your spirit isn’t holding on to past trauma or immaturity that you’ll mishandle and lose the blessing you prayed for.

The path of righteousness and love isn’t always easy and is often opposed and mocked. Yet it is rewarded richly with life, prosperity, and honor. This path is always worth it. 😇☝️

Our human minds naturally love to make plans, to set goals, figure out strategies, act as if we are in total control of our own lives. There's nothing wrong with that because we are meant to use our own minds as our lives unfold. But if our plans and intentions do not further align with the spiritual purpose understood by the Lord, then they will come to be wasted. Know your purpose in the Lord. 😇☝️
