Day 4

Best: Got to go see the Wisdome Exhibit. This was a relaxation/meditation dome area with 3D projected mandalas all across the top and sides of the dome itself. Very cool concept and very comfy chairs.

Worst: Not really a worst thing to this day, I did spend a lot of the day just making sure I was up to date on work and finishing up some project related stuff.

Day 3

Best: Chizo's. Tacos. Period. This Taco truck exceeded expectations for what street tacos should be. I grabbed the Pastor style taco plate and every single part of it was mouth wateringly good. If I could have them set up shop in my kitchen, I would die from the amount of tacos I would eat from them. I do not say this lightly, but I believe i may have found my favorite taco truck ever.

Worst: I went to the Swan Dive to see Maya Malkin. Maya and her band brought the energy of a pop/rock outfit that you would expect to see on a larger stage, but unfortunately for them, the FOH engineer was not good. Vocals were lost in the mix so bad, I had to listen later on Spotify to get an idea of what she was singing. Also an issue of concern were the mid frequencies which tended to drown out any semblance of separation between the kick drum, guitars and bass.

Day 2

Best: Attended a panel in the morning on the healing powers of music. As someone who is very passionate about this subject, I definitely had to check it out. I gleaned a lot of new information on how music triggers certain areas of the brain in certain ways. Most importantly though, I also learned that music is one of the only things in the world that stimulates every part of the brain and can actually cause brain growth in certain situations.

Worst: With it being Pi-day and being interested in hearing about how good Stony's Pizza was, I attempted to go and grab a slice or two. Turns out they were closed and no word on when they were going to open.

Day 1

Best: The Doodles exhibition. Super crazy to see some live art in the form of doodled faces animated onto static surfaces. With free noodles inspired by the art and a free refreshment while gaze at art in real time was amazing.

Worst: Unfortunately, the worst thing that I witnessed was a fire at the Shell Gas station across the street. Luckily no one was hurt and the fire was contained extremely quickly.
