Zirktom Rissler, whose birth name is Koloyi Thomas Zirk is a new generation SingJay/Deejay with his roots flowing from deep within the East side of Uganda. Also Known as The One Gang Boss or King of PaToGa Nation, Zirktom Rissler was born on 7/July/1995.
He was raised in Iganga, known as One Gang City and he describes his childhood as rough, having to be raised by his mother and growing up in a community where hope was the only hope.
His stage name Zirktom Rissler is derived from his birth name Thomas Zirk with Rissler abbreviating Resilient, Immense, Scholar, Sharing, Loyalty, Electricity and Refreshment.
In 2019, he was convinced by his childhood best friend Kakaire Stephen AKA Steff Dj to start releasing music professionally having heard some of his freestyle demos.
Zirktom Rissler began making music from Chet Records with the then in-house producer and sound engineer Rovins Pro, the first person to voice him professionally. He got off to a strong start with “Tumukinhie” a song that hits till date following up with hits like Badangina, Konkoodo and later on his first 8 track EP “Fully One Gang” (FOG) that he released on his 27th birthday. With tracks like Bartender, Inna Di Club, Ovulubana, he held his VIP listeners’ party in his home town Iganga where he performed for over 800 fans whom he refers to as PaToGa Nation.
He is returning this April with a song Titled “Star Gyal” in a new style that he refers to as PaToGa-Dancehall, a combination of Patois and Lusoga ravin Dancehall.
