Happy new year ❤️
I know you haven’t seen or heard from us in a hot minute.
BUT with the new year, Imperfect Mom's Guide is making some changes.

This podcast has turned into something I never wanted it to be. Not only have topics been all over the place; It has felt even more like a nuisance than my passion.

Imperfect Moms guide will keep its name BUT the topics that will be discussed will be ALL mom related mixed with a little bit of comedy.

The logo will also change AND ALL THE OLD EPISODES WILL DISAPPEAR. If you haven’t listened and want to, I would get to it.

New episodes of The rebranded Imperfect Mom’s Guide will release Friday January 12, 2024❤️ we hope you love and enjoy what is to come.

For those of you who don't know me..

👋 Hey! My name is Cindy and I am the owner and Host of Imperfect Mom's Guide Brand and Podcast 💛
I am blessed to be the Fiance of the most amazing and obnoxious man. I am also the mother of 3 girls. 2 biological and one bonus. We have 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a wide assortment of various farm animals... more to be added soon 😅 Needless to say, I have my hands full.

I have been asked this question alot recently and I wanted to share it to all the new mama's who have come across my page.

"WHY DO YOU DO WHAT DO?" "What made you start the podcast?" "Why did you start a community for moms?" "Why do you share all of the hard stuff?" "Isn't it hard?"

I'll answer the easy question first. Is it hard? Yes. 1000% yes! Sharing the hard parts of my life and being 99% transparent all of the time, is hard. But, it's absolutely worth it. There are parts of Motherhood that don't get talked about that NEED TO BE! I know that by sharing the messy, I can help at least 1 mama not feel alone and show you that these parts are NORMAL!

Now why did I start Imperfect Mom's Guide?

I was an 18 year old first time mom who developed Postpartum Depression and had NO IDEA what it was for over a year! The thoughts that went on in my mind and I was too scared to tell anyone. The fact that nobody knew I was battling this silently made me realize, I need to be an advocate for moms. I also realized that Motherhood is HARD??? WHY AREN'T MORE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT IT?

I am a bonus mom and the amount of s**t we are put through, is atrocious. I do my best to cover how hard coparenting is to navigate.

Let's also talk about how I grew up in a toxic household and I am working daily on breaking bad generational cycles. I am trying to show moms that NO MATTER how you were raised, your raising doesn't define who you are.

I use my platform to educate, discuss and laugh at Motherhood, Bonus Motherhood or even just womanhood 🤷‍♀️ and I do it because NOT A SINGLE SOUL SHOULD EVER NOT HAVE A VILLAGE. I, along with my community of mama's, WILL BE YOUR VILLAGE!!!

Imperfect Mom's Guide is a safe place for all women, mom or not, to talk about life. Good, bad, and ugly!

If you look at these rooms today, you would have never known that yesterday morning at 8am they looked awful.
You couldn't see the bathroom floor, the kitchen floor, the kitchen counters. You would've never known the amount of clothes and blankets could've eaten you alive or the pile of dirty dishes would've made you disgusted. It did me.

Yesterday, I woke up embarrassed by my house. How did I let it get this way? How did I even feel comfortable living like that. Truth is, I didn't but I couldn't bring myself to change it.

Then something inside me yesterday wanted change. I spent HOURS upon HOURS cleaning, loading& unloading the dishwasher, washing, drying, folding, & even putting away laundry.

I still have alot of work to do, Peep my bathroom sink 🤦‍♀️ but I'm so proud of all that I accomplished.

I say this to say, I know that your struggling mama. Because I am too. One day at a time! Put on shoes, get dressed, put in headphones, turn on a podcast or tunes, and just do it because motivation will never show up.
The best way to be happy is to create a stress free environment even when its overwhelming to start. Most definitely easier said that done. I started with the things that made me the most overwhelmed and what I hated the most (dishes and laundry) and my house looks good. It's not perfect but I woke up feeling better than I did yesterday. Now onto finding a consistent routine that works for us.

Peace is the only battle worth waging 💛

I'm stuck really hard on that right now.

It's going to be a struggle. It's going to fail somedays. But I can't let someone who I don't even like effect me anymore.

I have the life I have dreamed of and I am so blessed. I deserve to enjoy it 💛

I know I'm not the only mama out there fighting to find her peace and to that I say, let it go. Let all of it go. Learn your triggers and how to manage them and don't let someone else steal your peace.

💛Peace is the only battle worth waging💛

Hey Mama's!
It's with bittersweet news that we announce this.... Emily will not be returning to the podcast full time❤️

She's going on her own journey to fulfill her goals and we love that for her! Although she won't be coming back full time, you know she can't stay completely away so she will be back as a guest.

With that being said, Imperfect Mom's Guide has to rebrand so some changes will be taking place. We are going to retire this logo but it will always be a reminder of the many laughs we shared on an insanely fun and difficult journey 💛

I love you Emily and I can't wait to see what the future holds for you 😘
