May you feel pleasure in the feel of the wind, the touch of the sun, the gentle fall of water. Let the pleasure in scents and sights and sounds touch you and transform your life from chores to acts of love.

Cleaning surfaces and floors

1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 gallon water
2 tablespoons baking soda
Essential oil of choice (below)
Spray bottle

For a Citrus Version:
10 drops of grapefruit oil
10 drops lemon oil

For an Evergreen Version
10 drops of cedar oil
10 drops of juniper oil

For a Floral Version
10 drops of geranium oil
10 drops of juniper oil

Mix the vinegar, water, and baking soda in the spray bottle or you can use a bucket, and add the essential oils of your choice. To use, shake or stir well, then apply to wipe or mop as needed. Store out of direct sunlight and it keeps for up to 6 months.

Bleach Alternative

10 cups water
¼ cup lemon juice
1 cup hydrogen peroxide
10 drops of lemon oil
Water jug

Mix the water, lemon juice, hydrogen peroxide, and lemon oil in the water jug, and use 1 cup for each load of whites. Stored out of direct sunlight will keep for up to 6 months.

Dishwashing Liquid

2 cups watercerin
¼ cup soap flakes
¼ cup castile soap
1 teaspoon glycerin
2 teaspoons washing soda
Essential oil of choice
Bottle with Spout

For a Citrus Version

For an Evergreen Version
15 drops of cedar oil
15 drops of juniper oil

For a Floral Version
15 drops of geranium oil
15 drops of lavender oil

Bring the water to a low boil in a pot, then add the soap flakes and stir until everything is dissolved. Remove from the heat to let cool, add the castile soap, glycerin, washing soap, and the essential oils of choice. Pour into the bottle and shake well before each use. Store out of direct sunlight, it will keep for up to 6 months.

Being able to turn to your kitchen when you need something for your skin or hair is inexpensive and convenient.
There is no right or wrong way to mix natural ingredients. You can add or subtract based on what your skin or hair needs in that moment, to suit your personal preference.

Beauty Lifestyle Concepts

Looking at the beauty around me when I was a child it was magical. Flowers, butterflies, birds, ponds, rivers, the ocean. I would enjoy things with my senses and give myself small gifts: a stone I picked up a dandelion I blew and watched fly through the air. Moments of joy and magic I carry with me to this day, a scent a sight can easily send me back into that moment of pleasure.

Approaching beauty with reverence and ritual can help awaken an inner fire and stoke flames of vibrancy and passion. Creating your own rituals can induce pleasure to care for your soul as well as your body or skin or health.

The rituals you create can transform from self-care chores to acts of self love.

Beauty Recipes

You make your own food because you care about what you put into your body. Why wouldn’t you also want to make what you put on your body as well? While conventional products work many can cause harm or are too expensive or you just don’t like them. Beauty and self care is part of lifestyle health and fitness. It’s part of your entire being and regardless of gender or identity you start by loving yourself.

Taking time to make your own product or item can pause the frantic pace of normal modern life. It is an act of creation that allows you to experience far more than opening an item or putting on an item off a hanger.

My lifestyle is about transition. Changing from over the counter items to things I have spent time and effort making to function and taste and be what I want. Personalized to my needs, my family's needs and things my friends enjoy.
