Born in Tel Aviv, KEREN started designing at a very early age - opening his first fashion house when he was only 19. After finishing his military service in Israel, he moved to Rome where he mastered the art of tailoring while working for several couture houses. KEREN moved to New York City and founded his namesake studio in the West Village in 1995. For seven years, he designed and sold his colle
ctions in a couture-inspired boutique for men under the RAZ KEREN label. Since then he has, and continues to, designed and created custom garments for his private clientele for both women and men and in fall 2007, he re-launched his brand of high-end menswear collection for the modern menswear market. KEREN designs, creates patterns and constructs prototypes himself. KEREN joined the faculty of Parsons The New School for Design in fall 2003. He instructs the Core curriculum to junior and senior levels in Fashion Design, specializing in menswear.
