The National Museum of China is an extremely famous museum located in the heart of downtown Beijing, in the eastern area of Tiananmen Square. The museum is located on the Chang'an Avenue, opposite the Great Hall of the Chinese People. With a total area of up to 70 thousand m2, the China National Museum is currently the 3rd largest museum in the world. The museum is a 42.5m high building with 5 floors above ground and 2 basements.
